2023 WEBINAR SERIES

Land Trusts and Community-Based Agriculture

We had a great turnout for our webinar on March 14th, with 154 people in attendance!  It demonstrates the strong interest in community-based agriculture among both community land trusts and conservation land trusts.

You can find the recording (in both English and Spanish) on our event page -- along with PDFs of the presentation slides.

If you are interested in urban agriculture, then you may want to check the section of our website on Land Tenure for Urban Farming.

And we want to offer a special thanks to World Habitat, who provided the funding that enabled us to present this webinar!

European CLT Network News

Our colleagues at the European Community Land Trust Network are excited to share that they are officially kicking off the recruitment process for the first staff member of the European CLT Network -- the Network Coordinator. This person will set the strategy, lead the advocacy approach, develop partnerships with industry players and communities, and appoint the wider Network team. You can find the job announcement here.  As the nature of their organization demonstrates, they value the power of networks, and would be grateful if you could share our job offer with your networks.

Additionally, they have just launched the Network's website: clteurope.org.
Just Transition and Capacity Building

We are pleased to announce the receipt of two multi-year grants that have been secured by the Center for CLT Innovation. In collaboration with CLT Brussels, we have received a two-year grant from Porticus, a philanthropic organization based in the Netherlands. This grant will enable us to focus on various ways that CLTs can facilitate a just transition to a zero emissions future.

We have also received a three-year capacity-building grant from WEND II, Inc., a private foundation in the United States. This grant will enable us to expand the online resources and staff support that we offer to both emerging and established CLTs around the world.

So stay tuned -- we'll have much more to share in the months ahead!
