As the school year comes to a close, I want to share my congratulations to all of the students who are graduating into the next chapter of their lives and into their next endeavor.
As a parent of two school-age kids, I know first-hand how resilient and capable our students truly are. No matter what obstacles they face, they always work to bounce back and overcome any and all challenges.
I wish all of our students much success and prosperity as they continue through their personal and educational journeys.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
Day of the Horse
|
|
|
After much planning and anticipation, Day of the Horse returns this Sunday, June 11th at 11:00am! Join the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council and Council District 12 for a classic Valley tradition with exhibitions, food, and crafts. This annual event speaks true to the heart of the Chatsworth community's deep roots in equestrian culture and heritage and provides an avenue for families to learn more about horsemanship and conservation.
Day of the Horse is packed with entertainment for the entire family, whether it's one of the many crafts planned for children, the free food, or simply marveling at the skills of the Valley View Vaulters who will be doing a demonstration of vaulting, a world-class sport that combines gymnastics, dance, and the skill of horseback riding, this year's event has it all. In addition, there will be special performances and a variety of booths including local non-profits like Animal Alliance and Farralone Farms, both of which focus on rescuing and rehabilitating animals in humane ways.
If you are planning to attend, please make sure to park at the Chatsworth Train Depot where shuttles will be taking attendees to the Ride-On Therapeutic Horsemanship Facility. Council District 12 is providing increased security at the depot for the entire duration of the event.
We thank the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council for their steadfast commitment in keeping this classic CD12 tradition alive and we look forward to seeing you there.
