Project Updates
FORRT's first grant
- In July, Replications & Reversals received an amazing grant from the Open Science Fund of the Dutch Research Council (NWO).
- The team will use the grant to keep building and expanding the database of replication effects across social sciences and to develop two interactive apps, which will help people to explore, teach and cite replicable research. Stay tuned for more updates on this project!
SIPS 2023 Commendations
- Three FORRT projects received SIPS 2023 Commendations: (1) Replications & Reversals; (2) Team Neurodiversity; and (3) Summaries.
- SIPS Commendations recognise projects which have contributed significant efforts to the SIPS Mission, to improve and reform psychological science. Well done to the amazing teams behind these three FORRT projects!
New FORRT Publications!
Over the last months, FORRT's teams have published three new papers:
- In July, FORRT published a Perspective piece in Communications Psychology describing how the credibility revolution has led to positive structural, procedural, and community changes in research. Well done to all authors on this fantastic paper!
- In March, Team Neurodiversity published an opinion piece in the BPS Cognitive Psychology Bulletin which gives a brief explanation of participatory research methods and why they are important for promoting neurodiversity in academia. Check out the open access version. Well done everyone!

Events and Meetings
Event highlights
- In July, the Center for Open Science (COS) hosted a FORRT webinar on Big-Team Science Applied to Open Educational Resources and Metascience. We presented several ongoing projects at FORRT such as Reversals, Landscape, Pedagogies, Glossary among others. The recording is available on YouTube.
- In June, Team Replications & Reversals and Team Neurodiversity ran two very successful hackathons at SIPS 2023! Team Neurodiversity also contributed an excellent lightning talk.
- In June, FORRT held a workshop at the Open Science Community Groningen's Summer Event, where we had many enlightening discussions with participants about open and reproducible scholarship.
- In June, several FORRT members met in-person for the first time at a FORRT Strategic Summit. They discussed future plans for FORRT and its long-term sustainability. The summit was very productive and also a lot of fun. After all, it is always nice to meet in person the people you value working with!

Get Involved
Regular meetings - everyone welcome!
Funding FORRT
- We are currently raising funds for a paid Community Manager, with the aim to accelerate FORRT's impact and ensure its sustainability as a volunteer organisation. The more we raise, the more we can sustainably run our community. All donations large and small welcome!
- We are also seeking broader funding to support this work. If you know of a funding opportunity which might be relevant to FORRT, please contact Bethan Iley on Slack or via email (bethan@we-are-ols.org).
Code of conduct
- We have a code of conduct to reflect an open, welcoming, diverse, and inclusive community mission. We ask everyone at FORRT to read our CoC and abide by it in all FORRT-related interactions and spaces.
