Coming up this Sunday

Through Christ we can find freedom. Murray Cottle, a Baptist Church Consultant, will be sharing about “Helping to Keep My Church Healthy”. Murray will be facilitating our Setting Youth Church Free process this Saturday. Please pray for Murray and everyone else involved.

Special Prayer Gathering Saturday 7am

We will be holding a prayer walk around the boundaries of the FBC property at 7am on Saturday before starting the Setting Your Church Free event. The Community Prayer Watchmen will be joining us (see Ian Moorhouse for details). This will be a time of prayer as we come against negative spiritual authorities gaining territory while we consider some sensitive issues in the life of the church. Eph 6.  See you in the carpark 7am.

If you missed out, don’t forget to collect your toolbox and the items we have added so far. A pencil to remind us of God's plan, and a puzzle piece to remind us we each have a part to play in God's great restoration project.

Join us at 10AM in-person or online if you are not able or unwell. Please contact us if you need support info@fbc.nz
We are shaped by our culture, our upbringing, the things we read, watch and listen too. Last Sunday Greg mentioned often we spend our time in ways that are not life giving. Add to this our view of what is happening in the world due to things influencing us and sometimes we miss out on the benefit of being part of a new family. Take a watch of this. The Last Will Be First
As we continue our focus on God’s great restoration project, I wonder what agenda do we need to set aside as we accept each other and love? What unhealthy behaviours does our church need freedom from? Jesus invites us to know freedom through serving, and self-giving love to our family. As sons and daughters of Jesus, as part of the Royal family I wonder what responsibilities we need to pick up? Have a chat with your friends about this and pray about where God might be leading the FBC community.
On the March the 9th we were commissioned as a team. Our training for the search process has begun. We are about to start a review of the Church profile and Pastor profile using documents created by the previous search committee.
Please pray for team unity and wisdom as we launch into this process.

NZ Baptist News

Every two months, the National Centre provides a 10–12 page PDF with a collection of  news, stories, and articles recently published on the Baptist NZ app? Open the latest one at baptist.nz/print.

This is done as a way of helping keep our people in the loop who are not device users and who in the past enjoyed reading The Baptist newspaper or magazine. If you know someone who would like have a read of this, we have a couple of printed copies in the Info Desk.
