Coming up this Sunday
An Unexpected Treasure

We will focus on God’s love for us, and the inner beauty and treasure of each person. We will be challenged and we will be encouraged as we continue our restoration to and through Christ. To be ready for Sunday, read Gen 1:27, Eph chapter 2 and 4.

Please remember to collect your toolbox and the items we have added so far:

  • a pencil to remind us of God's plan
  • a puzzle piece to remind us we each have a part to play in God's great restoration project
  • a piece of sandpaper to remind us that we all need God to keep reminding us of places that need to be smoothed and refined.
  • a tape measure symbolising that we need to "take measure," take action and evaluate what needs more and what needs less attention in our lives.
Join us at 10AM in-person or online if you are not able or unwell. If you are watching online at 10am we recommend you delay until 10.05am so the lag can catch up and you will have better quality. Please contact us if you need support info@fbc.nz

Global Action Team Lunch
On Sunday after the service, Carol Dobbe, our Children and Families Pastor, will be sharing about her trip to India in January. Please bring something to share for lunch and hear about Carol's experiences. In the café at approximately 12 pm.
We are on our way to Easter and ultimate celebration of the gospel and our hope. Some are off to Easter Camp and eCamp, some will holiday with family or have special meals, and other join church services. At this special time you might want a bit more focus and in-depth reflection on Jesus's sacrifice and the meaning of Easter. Click here for a great guide from Tearfund.

Passover
Remember our great Passover meal last year when 100+ of us gathered here at FBC to share a meal like Jesus would have shared with His disciples on the night before His arrest? It was a poignant moment, which brought the last hours before Jesus' suffering on the journey to the cross into perspective. We have a resource you could use for celebrating the Passover with your family this year. Click here to get an explanation and recipes for a Passover meal.

Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal
This appeal runs across Aotearoa New Zealand and raises vital funds for The Salvation Army’s work with some of our most vulnerable whānau. Here in Pukekohe, funding from this appeal helps fund the Salvation Army's Community Ministries work (services like our foodbank, drop-in centre, financial mentoring, and other advocacy). You can find more information about this national fundraising appeal here.
Volunteers are needed for the period 5 - 10 May, across seven sites in the wider Franklin area.

If you can help for 1 hour (or more), please contact Rebecca directly at rebecca.moffat@salvationarmy.org.nz
