First, we are thrilled to announce that we have been selected as the exclusive caterer at the incredibly gorgeous Gibbs Gardens! We've got our first ever winner of the Giveaway Everyone’s Talking About! Have you heard about our elegant gourmet platter catering? It’s making in-home entertaining even more elegant and easy. There is not much lovelier than a wedding set in the most beautiful of gardens. A birthday, an anniversary, a Girls’ Night Out! Why not make it a Girls’ Night In? Hosting at home is the new trend in 2013. Call us for any of your special occasions and order one of our fantastic Party Platters! This is not your standard “Party Platter” service. Our gourmet platters are not only very reasonably-priced, but bring the elegance of an evening out right to you. We offer three options:

Signature Service – Our service team brings the platters to you on disposable trays and chafing dishes and provides full setup, presentation before we go.

Concierge Service – Your elegant party platters are brought to you on fine china, chafing dishes and displayed beautifully on your table complete with linens, candles and decor. We will warm any food that needs it, provide expert party flow advice, assist with display and setup and simply come pick up any of our china afterwards at your convenience. For less than a dinner party at restaurant, you can host your guests at home and experience the concierge Talk of the Town service, too!

Host a Lovely Shower in 2013
with our New Tea Party Service!
This year, tea parties are going to be more popular than ever, so you will definitely want to host one for a shower, birthday or any occasion! Our own Marlene Rosenberger and Katie Lindsay just created a lovely shower in late December and featured an amazing menu, including: Mint and Lemongrass Beef Salad, Mini Finger Sandwiches, and High Tea, featuring exclusively teas from Teavana! Marlene even hand-created the table décor, which was her true joy! The mom-to-be and her host were so thrilled that they told us in a beautiful note, “The food was delicious . . The décor and service were excellent with Bob at the helm . . . The shower was a great success!”

Talk of the Town Staff Spotlight
Every successful business has trade secrets and we’re about to let you in on one of ours, well actually two! Our Dynamic Duo – Levi Brown and Lawson Cromwell are two of our fantastic Operations Associates who make our events truly great. Some caterers rely on “a guy who delivers the food.” Never Talk of the Town! Levi and Lawson are in charge of providing Signature and Concierge services for our Talk of the Town in-home and corporate clients. This means that they not only “deliver” gourmet party platters or lunches, but they work with clients directly to ensure that their event setup is perfect.
Richard Boughton, our General Manager, says that Levi and Lawson are great to work with. “They get things right the first time and clients truly appreciate them. They also bring a breath of fresh air to events because they are young, but incredibly capable.” We have corporate and private clients who ask that Levi and Lawson specifically hand-deliver and set up every party and we are happy to accommodate these requests.
Levi, who has been with Talk of the Town for about a year and half, is an avid baseball player and fan! He loves working with Talk of the Town because he gets to “experience new people and places” all the time. And, Levi specifically recommends that clients order the succotash whenever possible, as well as Talk of the Town’s very own sweat tea. Levi likes it when clients let him do “all the work.” He enjoys getting to see a client relax and enjoy their event!
Lawson has been with us for about two and half years and is an accomplished percussionist. He really enjoys creating special events with his co-workers. Lawson gets a kick when he sees a “party” turn into a great event. His advice to catering clients? “Plan ahead and then don’t worry about any of the small things. We are there for you and can handle all of it for you.”
