Campaign goes public

In the October issue of BSU Insider, BSU President Dr. Richard A. Hanson announced that Imagine Tomorrow, the university's first-ever comprehensive campaign, has raised $25.4 million toward its $35 million goal.

Later this month, a special issue of Bemidji State University Magazine will provide an in-depth look at the Imagine Tomorrow campaign. The magazine features profiles on some of the individuals who gained so much more than a degree during their time at BSU and are now giving back, financially and through volunteer leadership, and students who have benefitted from the invaluable gifts that were made possible by the scholarships they received.

In an exclusive early look, the upcoming issue of Bemidji State University Magazine is being shared with faculty and staff before it reaches our alumni and friends across the country. Please enjoy this in-depth exploration of the people who are making it possible for our students to Imagine Tomorrow.

Tickets on sale for 45th Madrigal Dinners

Tickets for Bemidji State's 45th Annual Madrigal Dinners are now on sale at the Madrigal Dinners ticket office in Bangsberg hall.

Performances of this northern Minnesota Yuletide tradition will be held Friday through Sunday, Dec. 6-8, and Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13-14, in the Beaux Arts Ballroom. Tickets are $38.

This year’s Madrigal Dinners production features a new, completely renovated set. Singers will recreate the atmosphere of a Renaissance feast once held in English castles, bringing to life the regal pageantry and ceremonial pomp of Merrie Olde England. The evening features music from the Royal Court, Minstrels, Beggars, Cellar Keepers, Recorders and a masque presented by the King’s Players –– all while guests enjoy a five-course dinner.

Hundreds of kids visit residence halls for Trick or Treat event

Students living in BSU's residence halls helped to frighten and entertain the children of Bemidji during BSU’s annual trick-or-treating event on Halloween.

Residents of Oak, Pine, Tamarack and Linden halls participated in the event, which saw hundreds of children exploring decorated halls and visiting costumed students for candy. The event featured a mini-carnival on the 12th floor of Tamarack Hall.
