"Add a Friend" Patch
You can earn a patch for registering a friend into the Girl Scout family. The patch holds up to 3 "new girl" charms. Cookie Sale Resources

Cookie sales are off to a great start! Continue to work toward your troop goal by directing girls to remain focused on their individual goal. If you have not done so already, log into COCO at www.abcsmartcookies.com/goals  to set up your account.

You can’t register until April 1, but you can see all of the great sessions. Plus come and tour our resident camps at an Open House! Learn all about what amazing places our camps are and what they have to offer.

Purse with Purpose

Purse with Purpose is a family philanthropy that raises funds to pay for the cost of programming so that every girl, whether or not she has the financial means, can participate in Girl Scouts. Gogold - Scholarship

Fun Stuff Coming up in the Lubbock Area:

  • February 8: Teddy Bear Tea with Kappa Delta – Get a PATCH at this FREE event. Daisies and Brownies are invited to bring their favorite teddy bear to a tea party we will be having at which we will teach the girls some etiquette skills and talk about inward and outward beauty. Please RSVP with the number of girls you’re bringing one week prior to the event by emailing ttkdcommunityservice@gmail.com.
  • February 20: Harlem Globetrotters in Lubbock - Come out for a fun night of basketball and fun antics. Each girl will get a Harlem Globetrotters patch. Call to order tickets at 602-707-7035.
  • February 22: World Thinking Day Get ready and think! Check to see if your service unit will be hosting a thinking day event and if not, visit our national website on ideas on how to bring a global tradition to your girls. www.girlscouts.org/who_we_are/global/world_thinking_day
  • February 23: Girl Scout Day with the Lady Raiders - Join the Texas Tech Lady Raiders as they take on Oklahoma State University! You can also join the team for a postgame autograph session with the Lady Raiders! $5 tickets; To order tickets call: Rodrick Evans at 806-834-1741

Local Volunteer Learning Opportunities

(registration closes one week prior)
  • New Member Orientation: This training is your introduction to the Girl Scout Program. You will learn information and be given resources to successfully run a troop. This course is required for a new Troop Leader or Assistant Leader. Location: Lubbock Regional Office.  Click to register.
  • Leadership Essentials: This training gives you the tools to lead girls on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. You will learn how to use Journey books in your troop and incorporate all the other resources to provide the best experience possible for your girls.  New Troop Leaders or Assistant Leaders should take this course. Location: Lubbock Regional Office. Click to register.
  • Girl Scouting 101: This easy to use 45–50 minute on-line course, offered in English or Spanish, is an introduction to Girl Scouting for the new leader or not so new leader. You can bookmark the information and revisit it whenever you need to. Simply go to www.gs-top.org/online-training and click on Girl Scouting 101 at the bottom of the page
