Hiking Southern Africa (HOSA) is an information and a representative body for all in the hiking industry. Inclusive of hikers, clubs, everyone in the hiking corporate areas, para-statals or state institutions.
 
Voetslaan Suider Afrika (VOSA) is ‘n inligting- en verteenwoordigende liggaam vir almal in die Voetslaan / stapbedryf of omgewing. Dit sluit in stappers, klubs, elkeen in die korporatiewe gedeeltes en semi-staat en staatsintellings.

Bekendstelling van die nuwe Golden Gate roete

SANParke het ‘n nuwe roete bekend gestel by Golden Gate Nasionale Park. Doe roete is 'n twee dag oornagroete vanaf ’n besiskamp.

Uitleg

Die roete is uitgele deur die manjifieke klowe en berge in die Golden Gate Park. Dit neem jou deur klowe wat nog selde deur mense gesien is.  Hierdie is reggekry deur die bou van bruggies en paadjies oor soms onbegaanbare terrein!

Wanneer die roete finaal deur SANParke oopgestel word sal dit sonder twyfel baie gewild wees en sal dit veral gesog wees vir stappers van Johannesburg en Pretoria omgewing omdat dit so bereikbaar is.

Baie geluk aan SANParke, die SANParke Ere-Veldwagters van KZN en Vrystaat en ‘n besondere woord van geluk aan Albert Bossert een van ons lede en Ere-Lid van VOSA wat die roete gebou het.

TRAINING COURSES for 2016

HIKE LEADER's -
23 July Day course
This  course will be held in Centurion or Groenkloof. This course is recommended for all hikers irrespective whether you are a leader or not. This is knowledge that every hiker should have. This course will be presented in Afrikaans by Andries Oosthuizen. If  we find  that there is demand we will present the course in more areas, eg Mpumalanga. The course will be presented in English later in the year.
GREEN FLAG AUDITING - 2 Days
This course to be held July 2016 near Pretoria in English/Afrikaans by Prof Leon Hugo.
TRAIL PLANNING - 2 Days
If you are interested in planning, let me know. This is elaborate course on how to plan a trail. The course will be presented by a seasoned trail planner  and builder. To be held July 2016 near Pretoria in English/Afrikaans.
TRAIL BUILDING and MAINTENANCE - 3 Days
We need more trail builders and people to do maintenance of trails! Course scheduled for the end of July 2016.

Hiking Southern Africa  supports and promotes Green Flag as the national  accreditation system for trails. This gives the hiker the peace of mind that they will get the quality they expect and paid for.
