Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
The University of Newcastle Rugby Union Club would like to wish everyone who has supported our club for their invaluable commitment to the Galloping Seahorse throughout 2015. Our great club would be nothing without the continued from support of old boys, volunteers, fans and players so in an effort to recognize and thank everyone involved in the 2015, we are sending an open invitation out to all of the Seahorse family for a few drinks at the sponsor pub on Friday!
Where: The Albion Hotel, 72 Hannell Street, Wickham
When: 6pm, Friday the 18th of December, 2015
Who will be there: Legends old and new who have worn the Maroon & White; die-hard supporters who have held fast through the tough times and the good; story telling old boys; old mates; mates you haven't met yet; vivacious volunteers who donate their time, sweat and tears for the sake of our club.
Whats happening: Apart from the generous serve of banter and giggles that will be had, the Mighty Seahorse will be holding a Christmas Meat Raffle, so you can get all your Christmas BBQ grub in the one location!
Hot Tip: Get in at 5:30pm to take full advantage of the Albion's HAPPY HOUR.
So come along and a share a beer, reminisce about old times and share you point-of-view on times to come! Celebrate a very happy Christmas with the University Seahorse!

Stellar Results from an Early Jump on Pre-Season!
Mark O'Brien has taken it upon himself to whip the club into shape this year and has recruited fitness guru and all-round legend Christopher Smith to do it! Under Smith's tutelage and O'Brien's organizing, the Mighty Seahorse Club have not only gained mass but also an early jump on the competition! At the 2015 Grand Final, the University of Newcastle Rugby Union Club was awarded the 2015 Tooheys Club of the Year! The award was accepted by tireless club president Tom Angus on the Grand Final podium.

Congratulations to Graham Campbell!
Uni Rugby secretary and team manager extraordinaire,
Graham Campbell, received a Colour at the University of Newcastle Sports Awards on Friday the 28th of August in recognition of his long and extremely valuable service to the University of Newcastle Rugby Club.
Many club members and officials were in attendance to witness Graham receive his award, and by all reports it was a great night for the club, despite narrowly missing out on the Sporting Club of the Year Award to the Scuba Diving Club. (ed. note: is scuba diving a sport?)
The Mighty Seahorse has had an astounding record at University of Newcastle Sports Awards with past recent honors going to Louis Gray, Matthew Dun, David Kennedy and Margaret Watson.
