NEHA Offers Free Accredited Private Well Class for Sanitarians
Sanitarians can now receive up to 10 Continuing Education (CE) Credits for taking The Private Well Class through the National Environmental Health Association.

Private Well Class to Receive Continued Funding
The Rural Community Assistance Partnership was recently named an awardee in the U.S. EPA’s FY15 Training and Technical Assistance competitive process. A portion of the $1.7 million private well owner education and outreach program will maintain and expand the offerings of The Private Well Class through the University of Illinois.

Featured Video: How To Test Your Well Water


The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention has a great video to show the steps needed to test your private, residential well water using a comprehensive test kit. Drinking water that comes from private wells in Maine may have too much arsenic, uranium, fluoride, or other contaminants that can make water unhealthy to drink. Even if your water looks, tastes, and smells fine, the only way to know if your well water is safe to drink is to test it.
