The Curio: Curative's selection of things that have us thinking...

A note from us....

Changemaking Magic

The word ‘magic’ always conjures up images of unicorns, fairy dust and other things that don’t seem to be real or of this world. But we’d like to think instead, that being open to ‘magic’ means being perpetually open to the unexpected and to the more unlikely possibilities. The often surprising results of using creativity and collaboration to help solve a few of our society’s challenges – that, to us, is magic.

Spending time with some of the awesome changemakers in our life as we celebrated our 4th birthday got us thinking about what is needed to create real and lasting change. Read some of Eddy's thoughts on the changemaking magic Â»

During the holidays, our designer extraordinaire Jess explored Melbourne and had many magical encounters with a few incredible social enterprises there.  Read more on Jess' Melbourne social enterprise experience »

Being invited into a community to collaborate together to produce work to change attitudes, conversations and behaviour around road safety and licensing has been nothing short of magic and we're excited to see our work on Behind the Wheel Māngere roll out over the coming months. We thought you might like a sneak peek at what's to come »

I’ll leave you with this awesome quote from Elizabeth Gilbert, on living a life with a little bit of magic:

" Do whatever brings you to life, then. Follow your own fascinations, obsessions, and compulsions. Trust them. Create whatever causes a revolution in your heart. "

Curative is looking for an awesome (and a little bit magical) Digital Creative; Front End Developer with design skills - to join our family of talented creative generalists to help make the world a lil bit better. The role will involve managing and producing the digital aspects of our innovative and inspirational social change projects.
