Oren M. Levin-Waldman, Research Scholar at the Binzagr Institute, published two public policy op-ed articles: "Progressivism is Really About Efficiency" (February 7, 2016), and "The Real Issue is Wage Inequality," (February 22, 2016). He also appears as a regular guest on Westchester on the Level, a blog/talk radio show every other Wednesday.
3MT Award
Aqdas Afzal, Research Fellow at the Binzagr Institute and a Ph.D. candidate in economics at UMKC, won the inaugural Three Minute Thesis, or “3MT,” contest at his university. Afzal presentation’s title was, “Counter Climate Change: The Relationship Between Economic Growth and Energy Consumption in Developing Countries” (watch the video here). Afzal also won the People’s Choice Award. As the next step, Afzal would now be representing his university in Chicago at regional competition in April. Afzal, a Fulbright scholar from Pakistan, also teaches at the Rockhurst University in Kansas City. Congratulations!
