Now that spring break is over let’s talk about next fall :)

Starting this week, each student in Ballet 3 and above will receive an evaluation via email call a Zoom Report at the bottom of that evaluation will be the recommended classes for your student in the next year of dance instruction. We will list all available classes for your student. It is not a requirement to take all of the listed classes. If your child would like to take jazz or tap they must be enrolled in a ballet class. Our lyrical and hip- hop classes can be taken without being enrolled in a ballet class.

All the documents you see in this e-blast will be available to download on our website SOON. You will find the class schedule for 2016 – 2017 listed on our website under class information as well as the tuition information for the upcoming year. The class schedule is also listed here. Please note that when DAG recommends a Monday / Wednesday or a Tuesday / Thursday class structure we would ask that you make every effort to enroll your child in the specific recommended day and level class. Of course we are understanding that families are busy and adjustments will need to be made along the way. If you find yourself in that situation please call the office to discuss the best placement for your dancer.

If you have been with DAG in the past you will notice a few differences in our billing and tuition structure. The first change is NO performance fee., We are also adjusting how we charge recital costume fees. We know it is often difficult for families to have a lump sum costume fee payment in November just prior to the holidays so we have added that into the monthly payments and spread it out over the year. It has been many years since we have had a costume fee increase and to be able to continue to order costumes in the style of DanceArts Greenville, we will increase our costume fee to $72.00 this is a $7.00 per costume increase. What that means for you if you select to make 9 tuition installment payments September – May you will add $8.00 per costume to your tuition payment. To make it clear please see the attached Fee outline.

DanceArts Greenville understands that families are BUSY and remembering to send in the monthly tuition payment is often at the bottom of the to do list. It would be our desire to have every family sing up for automatic draft. This is processed by our office staff on the 1^st of each month. Please download the form from our website and bring it to the office. If you do not wish to have us do the draft we encourage you to set up an automatic bill pay via your bank to DAG each month with the monthly installment amount to be received prior to the 10^th of each month.

DanceArts Greenville will release the dance calendar for 2016 – 2017 as soon as the Greenville County Schools release their dates for the upcoming school year holidays. It is our goal to begin classes one week after school begins giving everyone a week to become adjusted to starting school for another year. We will have 36 weeks of instruction and continue classed through the end of May 2017.

April 11th - 16th - Observation week
April 15th - DAG summer intensive deposit due. Students ages 11 with one year of pointe training and up. If students are interested in applying to join the DanceArts Youth Company next season in the Apprentice, Junior or Senior level, the prerequisite is attending a summer ballet intensive. We have been talking a lot about next year here but let’s not forget summer. Not ready give up a week for a camp but want your dancer to keep up her love of ballet class over the summer? Our Drop in classes are just for you. We offer 8 weeks of ballet class by level in the summer. BUT we know that families need a break for the weekly routine so you can simply select the classes that work with your schedule. You do not HAVE to pre – register but it helps us plan and staff if we know an approximate number of students to expect for a class. If you know you are going to attend summer drop in classes go ahead and sign up. Do keep us I mind when you wake up this summer on a rainy Tuesday and think kids + me inside the house all day = ballet class to the rescue No registration is needed just drop in spur of the moment.

April Tuition will be due by April 10th. Online Payment option is availble 24 hours. 7 days a week. The Performance fee of $40.00 per family is charged in the month of April. If you have paid your tuition by a yearly or semester payments this fee has already been paid.
