Adult Literacy Tutors needed. Our partners at adult literacy programs at Scott Community College (West Davenport Center) and Black Hawk College (L.I.F.E.) are seeking volunteers to tutor adults who would like to get their GED (now called HiSet in Iowa), become better parents or grandparents, or achieve more gainful employment.
Language tutors and Math tutors are both needed.

Bettendorf Schools is seeking volunteers to teach Junior Achievement life skill lessons to 3rd- and 4th-grade students. Scheduling is flexible, but volunteers would need to commit to teaching one lesson per week, for 5-7 weeks. All training and materials are provided. Interested? Call 309-793-4425
Friendly folks needed to greet attendees of a conference (National Association of Branch Campus Administrators) in downtown Davenport. Volunteers would be stationed outside at various locations between the Hotel Blackhawk and Figge to direct attendees.
