Trainer Tip

Life Transformations Personal Training in Lee’s Summit shares some fitness tips.  Read about being prepared by Personal Trainer, Sarah Mae Skinner.

"Don't expect success. Prepare for it."

If there was ever a piece of advice that could be noted as "the key to success" it would be this, PREPARE for success. To reach any goal there are steps you have to take, plans you have to make and set into action. When applying this to your fitness goals the best thing you can do for yourself is schedule everything.
When you make a doctors appointment, dentist appointment or business meeting what do you do? You write it in your agenda therefore it's a commitment and when that day and time comes you are present at that scheduled event. Your workouts and food prep should be looked at as any other important appointment in your busy schedule.  The best way to make sure you get to the gym is to have a trainer; they provide accountability with a scheduled appointment that is much harder to skip than when going alone. If this is not an option then just as the doctors appointment, schedule it in your agenda/calendar. Make your gym session your personal appointment for you and your well being, realize the importance of it on your health and make it a priority to not sacrifice that time for anything else.
Food prep...something most of us don't enjoy yet can make your break your success. There are convenient options here as well such as Flexpro Meals or Success Meals KC that make and deliver your food based on your nutritional information and needs. Otherwise we go back to scheduling it into your busy life. Set aside just a couple hours one day a week to batch cook your food and portion a few days worth of meals, stick them in the fridge so they are ready to grab in a hurry. Those couple hours I promise you will pay off in helping you reach the goal you have set. Success is at your fingertips. It really is attainable for every single person when you PREPARE for your success. Prepare. Attack. Succeed.
