WHAT'S THE WORD?

Proxy Vote Recommendations Update
In an effort to keep you better informed and keep your inbox cleaner, Richmond Brothers will only send proxy voting recommendations should our recommendation differ from the Board of Directors. Therefore, if you receive a proxy and do not hear from us on how you might want to vote, you may wish to follow the recommendation from the Board. We hope you find this new process to be helpful!
Congratulations!

Congratulations to Sue VanEyck, our Director of Internal Transfers and Reporting! She is celebrating 15 years with Richmond Brothers this month. Thank you for your service, Sue. We are so happy to have you as part of the family and are grateful for the truly great memories we've shared!

GET EDUCATED!

"I've been hearing lately about this thing called an 'in-service distribution.' What does this mean exactly?" - Anonymous
Once you reach the age of 59 1/2, some companies (for instance, Consumers Energy and Allegiance Health to name a few local ones) allow their employees to rollover their vested balance in their retirement plans to an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) while continuing to fund their plan. By retirement plan, we mean a 401(k), 403(b), 457 and even pension funds, etc. Sounds pretty great, right? Well, like any other investment option, there are pros and cons to making this move. Check out our blog post for more insight on why you may want to consider this option!
