Glory Shiners Ministry has partnered with YWAM Athi River and will be hosting the next DTS outreach. The DTS will be focused on ministering to the justice community.....police, inmates, prison staff and their families...and will be assisting with our Regeneration Program. The DTS starts April 3 and runs through August 25. (This is part of the first phase of us establishing a YWAM base in Nakuru). UPDATE:
LEAP OF FAITH/HELP US GROW
We are growing and expanding and in need of a bigger home...and we are taking a leap of faith!Our Regeneration Program has partnered with YWAM DTS and we need a home for our ministry.
We are currently looking at land/property in the Nakuru area close to the prison where we minister to staff, inmates and their families.
The properties we have looked at that are suitable to our ministry needs are in the price range of $300,000 to $350,000 (this includes land plus renovation and construction).
Please stand with us in prayer for God's provision in reaching our goal.
UPDATE:
(Praise! praise! We have been offered a donation of approximately 1 acre of land outside of town to help with our ministry needs. We have decided that it is ideal for future expansion of our Regeneration Program as it grows! What a blessing. Please pray that all goes well as we meet with the donors and make final preparations....we are still fund raising for the land/property close to the prison.)
Our Goal is $350,000 and we have reached 0.042% YEAH!

- Praise for the current Orientation class moving to the Regeneration class on March 6.
- Praise for the current Regeneration class moving to the Inner Healing class on March 6. THIS WILL BE THE FIRST INNER HEALING CLASS SINCE WE STARTED THE PROGRAM! Praises to: Wilson, Martin, Felix, Clause and Julius.
- Praise for the 25 men that are in the Regeneration Program.
- Praise for our church community here in Nakuru that helps us feel safe.
- Praise for the blessing of a trip to Israel. Our whole family will be traveling to Israel March 3-18. wow!
PRAYER REQUESTS
- Prayer request for Mt. Paka. The East Pokot area is in a dire situation. Drought, cattle rustling and political unrest have caused a lot of chaos in the area. The last time our team was there we were threatened and we left feeling very uneasy. Since then things have gotten worse....several politicians and leaders have been killed, roads are blocked and relief workers are being denied entry. Most of this unrest is political due to the elections coming in August. We are not going there this month as scheduled. Please keep this situation in your thoughts and prayers.
- Prayer for the land donation. That the paper work goes through. That all parties involved are hearing from the Lord and being obedient to His will.
- Prayer for the financial fund raising for the home in Nakuru. God has given us a vision of our ministry home being close to the prison and church community where we live. Please pray for our finances. We still have a goal fo $350,000.
- Prayers for the Orientation and Regeneration classes.
- Prayers for the Inner Healing class: Wilson, Martin, Felix, Clause and Julius.
- Prayer for our safe travel to Israel as a family. And prayers for Julius as he is running the ministry and the program while I am away.
- Prayer for Caroline's school friend Mia who is in need of an operation.
