and Mathematics

Beginning today, Ingleside will start administering the AzMERIT test to all students.  The testing schedule is as follows:

March 27 – 8th writing
March 28 – 7th writing
March 29 – 6th writing
March 30 – SPED/ELL writing
April 10-13 – SPED/ELL testing
April 17&18 – 7th Reading and Math Part 1 and Part 2
April 18 – 8th AIMS science
April 20 & 21 – 8th Reading and Math part I and Part 2
April 25 & 26 – 6th Reading and Math Part 1 and Part 2
April 27 – May 3 – Make-ups

It is a necessity for students to be at school and on time. Although there are make-up days, it is always much better for students to test with their class. It is also beneficial for students to get enough sleep and eat a good (protein filled) breakfast.

Please help  by encouraging your child to give it their best, take their time and review their work to check for completeness and accuracy.

Students should remember to bring their own earbuds for use during testing.

AMP Class THIS FRIDAY!
Classes to be held March 31 and April 7

Is your child one of the 200+ kids
participating in AZ Merit Prep?

More than 200 students stayed after school on Friday from 2:30 to 4:00 pm to get extra practice for the upcoming AZ Merit Test.

The Friday afternoon sessions consist of one ELA session, one math session and the afternoon ends with dodge ball with the principal and teachers  and Otter Pops. The kids go to a different ELA session and a different math session each week. AMP is open to all students. It is not a remediation program. It is a program that has something for all grades and all ability groups. AMP is not a fix all, but it definitely can make a difference in giving the kids the extra push to tackle AzMerit. Attitude is a huge part. AMP aims to boost the confidence of our kids.
We are always collecting Box Tops!

Please drop yours off in the front office.

It's easy to participate in this simple way to raise funds for Ingleside!

  1. Scholarship: As an Honor Society, we have high expectations for academic performance.  NJHS members must have a cumulative 3.8 GPA for the current year (that means Quarter 1, Quarter 2, and Quarter 3 must be an average of 3.8 or higher this year in order to apply for NJHS next year).

  1. Character: Members of NJHS strive to develop the following character traits: responsibility, respect, patience, courage, caring, integrity, self-control, cooperation, and perspective.

Applications:

Applications will be available in the spring after 3rd quarter grades have posted. Students who have received a 3.8 GPA during the school year and have not have any discipline incidents will be invited to apply. Please note that application procedures and due dates must be adhered to accordingly in order to process applications. Applications are reviewed by the NJHS committee and students will be contacted once the review is complete to be notified of the committee’s decision.
