Joint ACA and Institute Statement - STEM Procurement Issues

The Institute and the ACA have issued a statement to members involved in STEM works projects based on our understanding that DPTI has determined to deliver STEM Works projects as Design and Construct Contracts using AS4300 and novating the consultant team to the builders. An urgent meeting is being sought with DPTI to explore the consequences of this approach, including the many other factors that Government would need to address with regard to engagement of consultants. We are also preparing advice to members in order to highlight to them contractual and payment implications they will need to consider in renegotiating their position.
