Plans for the 2017 Australian International Three Day Event are well underway, and we can't wait to share what we have in store for this year.

The 2017 Mitsubishi Motors Australian International Three Day Event (Aus3DE) will return to Adelaide's parklands for the 20th Anniversary of the event, from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 November 2017.

In exciting news, the Aus3de would like to welcome Mitsubishi Motors as the official naming rights sponsors of the 2017 Mitsubishi Motors Australian International Three Day Event. This is a three year partnership with the highly respected global motor company.

The event also welcomes Pryde's EasiFeed as the naming rights sponsors of the Dressage Day on Friday 17th November, and Thomas Foods International as naming rights sponsor for the World Cup Show Jumping and Show Jumping Day on Sunday 19th November, as well as Horseland as the sponsor of the popular Horseland CCI2* Class.

Plans for the 2017 event are well established, and this year's event is shaping up to be bigger and better than before.

Tickets will go on sale on June 21st via Ticketek, so make sure you stay tuned for early bird savings!

Spaces are selling fast for the 2017 Market Place Shopping Village, which will showcase trade stalls, food outlets, wine and Pimms Bars plus a local produce market and more.

Mitsubishi Motors - Jumping on board to support a different kind of horse power

Mitsubishi Motors are thrilled to jump on board as naming rights sponsor of the Australian International 3-Day Event (Aus3DE) for the next three years.

2017 Market Place Shopping Village

The 2017 Market Place Shopping Village Exhibitors Registrations are now open. It will be 'first in, best location' for paid early bird registrations.

The Aus3de Market Place Shopping Village is growing year by year, and in 2016, it was the biggest yet. Many visitors return each year specifically for the shopping. The 2017 Mitsubishi Motors Australian International 3 Day Event will once again feature a Food Court and Market Place, centrally located in Victoria Park, overlooking all the action on the main arena.

Thomas Foods International World Cup Show Jumping & ‘Futurity’ Class

For the third year, World Cup Show Jumping will be on the calendar of the Mitsubishi Motors Australian International Three Day Event.

Attracting some of Australia’s best show jumpers from across the country, World Cup Show Jumping takes pure jumping to the highest level.

Proudly sponsored by iconic South Australian company, Thomas Foods International, Sunday lunchtime will host the World Cup qualifying class in the spectacular setting of the Main Arena. This exciting class will test horse and riders, with some jumps reaching the maximum height of 1.60m. The course will not only feature some huge jumps, but also test the skill and scope of horses with some technical lines to make sure that the best horse and rider takes home the big prize money on offer!

Spectators will have a number of opportunities to see the horses jump on the Main Arena prior to the Thomas Foods International World Cup Show Jump class on Sunday, with a warm-up class to be held on Saturday afternoon, following the completion of the Qantas Cross Country.

For horses that are showing potential to jump at the highest level and to be stars of the future, Friday and Saturday evening’s program will feature a ‘Futurity’ class, where horses will be challenged by a course of show jumps of around 1.40m.

Thomas Foods first sponsored the event in 2016, and the committee are proud to be working with this iconic food business again in 2017.

Event to celebrate 20th Anniversary in 2017

This year is a particularly important year for the Australian International Three Day Event, as the event will celebrate its 20th anniversary!

The Adelaide International Horse Trials was born in 1997 to replace the Gawler Horse Trials that had been staged at Gawler, north of Adelaide, since 1954.

The new event debuted in Adelaide’s East Parklands with a Three Star rating but was subsequently upgraded to a Four Star rating in 2002 to become the only event of this calibre in the Southern Hemisphere.

The competition was relaunched and renamed the Australian International 3 Day Event (aus3de) in 2007 to celebrate the events tenth anniversary and better reflect the international focus of the competition. In 2011,the Aus3de became a part of the World ‘Pro Tour of eventing the FEI Classics Series.

Today, the Aus3de is Australia’s premier equestrian competition. It is the only CCI four star event held in Australia, the only one held in the Southern Hemisphere and one of only six held across the world. For the past twelve years, Adelaide has been the chosen host city of this Hallmark Equestrian event.

Aus3de proudly takes its place alongside the other great international four star events, the Rolex Kentucky 3 Day Event in the United States in April, Mitsubishi Badminton Horse Trials in England in May, Luhmuhlen in Germany in June, Burghley Horse Trials back in the UK in September and Pau in France in October.

This year, Event Director, Mrs Gillian Rolton, will also celebrate 10 years as Event Director for the Aus3de. With a successful riding career, including two gold medals at Barcelona and Atlanta Olympic Games, Gill Rolton became Event Director of the Au3de in 2006.

In the past 10 years, the event has seen many changes under Gill's guidance, including new sponsors, international riders, new events, improved corporate hospitality and much more. Her passion for the sport of eventing and the event has been extraordinary, and the event would not be what it is today without her leadership.

Aus3de have signed three year contract with Horseland

The 2017 Mitsubishi Motors Australian International Three Day Event have signed a three year contract with Australia's much loved equestrian retailer, Horseland.
