SMCDA Board Attends Annual NADA Conference, Meets with Legislators in Washington D.C.

SMCDA board members held meetings this week in Washington D.C. with local legislative representatives Janice Hahn, Grace Napolitano, Allan Lowenthal and Lucille Royball-Allard. Year-to-Date Sales up 12.2% in Southland

Honda and Kia saw significant sales increases this year (32 percent), resulting in market share increases of 2.5% and 1.5%, respectively. Overall, sales remained strong across all brands, and Southland dealers' sales still outpaced national figures.

Northwood F&I Class offered this fall
Class will meet Tuesday evenings, October 25 - December 13
Northwood University’s Cerritos Campus is offering an 8-week course that instructs students in F&I and legal issues, and it counts toward AFIP certification. For more information about AFIP, please visit. www.afip.com.

Motor Vehicle Software Inc, (MVSI) will offer Intro to DMV Processing and Fundamentals of Registration and Titling this fall at the SCCTT.
Intro to DMV Processing on September 29 provides a general overview of the registration and titling processes for new vehicles. Intended for contract and new registration and title clerks with less than six months of experience.
