November 2016

Greetings all,
Doesn't it seem like we just start to settle in to our fall routines just as end-of-year activities begin to pick up?! Even as your calendars fill up with parties and obligations, be sure to take some time to relax, spend some quality time enjoying the colors of the season and appreciating all the newness that our children experience each day!  There are three big things I want to point out for this month:
  • Near West Family Network's upcoming Kids Clothes, Toy, and Book Swap! (see below) Clear your closet and find some items to fill your kids' wardrobe gaps or do some early holiday "shopping" as you much on some pizza and sip some adult beverages.

  • The schedule for the NWFN Winter Gym Days has been set! They will run from December to April at Franklin Circle Church again - see our calendar for more details.

  • If you haven't already heard, Hawken and Birchwood Schools have merged! They soon will be offering an Early Childhood Center in Gordon Square! See below for a link to the official press release and information about upcoming Parent Workshops and an Open House.
Have a great November!

KIDS CLOTHES, TOY, AND BOOK SWAP

Friday, November 18, 6:30 - 8:00 pm

at
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church
6828 Detroit Ave. (Enter behind church)

Start clearing your closets and thinking about what you need for the winter or holidays because NWFN is hosting a night of Swapping, Socializing (and sipping!)

RSVPs are not required but would be helpful because we're planning to provide pizza.

If you can, RSVP to information@nearwestfamilynetwork.org

If you want more information or want to help - contact Fran at fran.c.didonato@gmail.com
Did You Know Hawken and Birchwood schools have merged?

They are hosting several parent workshops in November and a Parent Open House and Preview on December 4.

We have parents in the network with children at both Hawken and Birchwood, email information@nearwestfamilynetwork.org if you'd like us to help you connect with parents with first-hand experiences.

Tree Planting Day in Market Square Park is November 9th!
