CINTESIS new scientific management team

The current organisation of CINTESIS (but most of all its ambition!) poses significant challenges to its management.
So, in compliance with CINTESIS strategic programme, the scientific management team has gained new members and competences.

The ability to identify funding opportunities and help CINTESIS researchers apply to the different funding schemes was reinforced with Catarina Neves and Isabel Costa Pereira.
While Catarina is mostly dedicated to scientifically-oriented projects, like Horizon 2020 and FCT projects, Isabel is specialized in business-oriented projects, using structural funding, i.e. Portugal2020.
The technology transfer and innovation activities, such as patent application (or other Intellectual Property protection), helping transform research activities into research contracts and support to the existing (or new) spin-off’s is the main responsibility of Maria João Aguiar.
Olga Magalhães is in charge of CINTESIS communication, supporting the dissemination and communication activities, such as media relations, social media and the organization of scientific events.
The financial issues, which involve both pre-funding (budgeting) and post-funding support (expenses management), in national and international schemes are the main concern of Ana Maria Gomes and Paula Abrantes.
Branca Santos provides administrative support to CINTESIS, with a special focus on human resources management.
Pedro Sacadura provides support to webdesign and marketing activities.

We are now presenting the team to the research groups so we look forward to see you soon.
