Do you know anyone you’d call “bold?”

“Bold.” Are you, or your mentor or your coach, closest friend? What do you think of when you hear the word?

It really stands out to me when I see someone making BIG and BOLD decisions about how to live their life. Not impulsive,  but bold. Not bold, as in not caring about the impact on others. But brave. Courageous. With strength. Knowing.

It is so easy to let time pass by, watching everyone else's "wonderful life" on social media, wishing for something different. [I’m reading Reclaiming Conversation by Sherry Turkle, if you want to read more about technology and its impact on conversation, empathy, and other emotional intelligence sorts of skills.]

Who stands out? Their stories and how they made big, bold changes await you in this newsletter.

What BIG and BOLD decisions will you make this coming year? Are you living your best life? If you’re not quite there, how can you get there? What decisions do you need to make and how will you make them?

Read my story, my "Why" for this second career of mine.

P.S. Work-life balance is the #1 reason people call lately. Figure out how to rely more on yourself and on your systems, so you can create the life you know you want. And we know, too, that it’s harder when you work out of the house.
If you’d like to do more, make more happen, and be better at follow through, call or email today Sue@OrganizeNH.com or 603.554.1948. No charge for a 20 minute discussion to figure out if this will work for you and I have the style and skills you need.

P.P.S. What BIG BOLD flavor is in my teacup? Blueberry!!

2 Minutes Matters: Video - Productivity/ADHD Suggestions

Videos are 2 minutes and focused on ONE idea you can experiment with to see how it works for you.

Coaching - Client comments

(used with permission)

"Sue understands adult ADHD! Recently diagnosed at age 51 and urgently wanting accountability and strategies, I could not have wished for a better coach. Sue’s breadth of knowledge really helped to sort out what does work – and much to my great relief – what does not work. She is fun, meets you right where you are at and her questions and suggestions are elegantly simple. Understanding how to create motivation, what saps it, and the conditions that I work best in is freeing and has been a real confidence-builder!"

Be Bold. Bolder Than You Think You Can. Here’s How.

BOLD: Showing an ability to take risks. Confident and courageous. {Google}

The kind of bold I’m talking about looks like this.
  • The person who stepped aside from a well-paying, career role because it kept him away from his family too often. Time was slipping by. You know that feeling.
  • It’s the person with a mid-life health issue who decides to let go of a volunteer commitment [or two]. Something has to go. And so it does. Less stress. More time for what’s important. Including taking care of herself.
  • Or the one who wants to “be” simply the daughter and not the primary caregiver. She researches services and presents them as something “I” need for “my life.”
  • The self-employed business owner who invests in herself, upgrading her knowledge and skills, to create a business she is proud of. One which her children and spouse will be proud of.
These are the most difficult of bold decisions, because they pit our emotions against career, purpose and/or family.  These aren’t facts and figure decisions we can boldly make if we’re a leader in our business or at our workplace. Facts and figures, with some subjectivity, sure. But compare that to what these people did to make their decisions. Far different.

Could you make these kinds of bold decisions?  How would you?
