Happy mid-summer everybody!!
I had a great start to June from teaching a writing seminar to attending an author awards ceremony. The month ended with the loss of a close friend of the family. We will miss Nathan Van Taylor, Sr., but he left us memories of his kind heart. Kiss a loved one today. Tomorrows are never promised.
I have some exciting news. It's official. I have signed a 3-book deal with publisher Sourcebooks. That means My Rock will soon be removed from all sales platform. The cover, some of the content, and the title will be changed. It will still be book 1 of the Caregiver series. The editor, who I've known for years, was so passionate about the subject matter, she offered me a contract without reading the book. Wow, look at Jesus, so begins my testimony. READ MORE
The literary seminar in June was a BIG success! I had a packed classroom, including our First Lady as one of the participants. Everyone has a story to tell. I'm so glad these aspiring authors are willing to share the stories God has given them. There were two winners. Artimese Johnson won the Novel Creator software. Believe it or not, Lady Melanie Johnson won a copy of Building Online Relationships. Both prizes are "must-haves" for writers.
I have many books on my shelf to read. I'm hoping to enjoy most of them before the summer end, but this book was a surprise and funny read to me. I met Kit Morgan at RT this past spring and began to read it on the plane. If you're in the mood for a quirky read, download this one today.
