New Year's Eve was set to be the best party in town and with not a single ticket left on sale the week before the event we knew this was going to be a cracker....

Soooo with Christmas over it was back to RBB HQ for some NYE decorating! 
After 2 solid days of decorating and lots of help from the RBB team, volunteers and Bocabar staff we were almost ready....
The last thing to do was inflate the 2018 balloons (luckily by helium) & then position them in pride of place ready for the big countdown...
Glitter & UV bar ready. Champers on ice all that was left was to let everyone in the doors for what is always...
The few snap shots show how much fun it was on the night...if you have more pics then please tag us in them on social media or email them across as we would love to see them! Thank you to everyone that came & made it such a fantastic night!

Wassail Theatre present Reclaimed here on the 19th of Jan & The Neville Staple band are here for a SOLD OUT gig on the 20th.
Bass Factory presents a night of DNB & Garage at the RBB on the 26th. This is third first Glastonbury event and they have quite a line up for you...
Beat the January Blues with all of us on the 25th of January! We are hosting a community party to chase away the January blues....Everyone is welcome, music, nibbles & games. We also have a little bit of transport for those that are stuck so get in touch today if you need a lift to join the party!

Dr Syntax (MC) and Pete Cannon (producer/DJ/MC) have been making music and touring together since 2010. They are well renowned for smashing shows all over the UK, and at festivals such as Boomtown Fair and Outlook. Now we are lucky enough to have them here with their new 2018 tour on the 9th of Feb!

We are super excited to announce that the A level students from The Blue School in Wells are here with their art projects from the 16th of Jan.
 
Free to view and open daily from 10am so make sure you swing by to check it all out over two weeks.
During December we decided it was time to start writing the receptionists name up in lights!!!

So we bought reception a board which allows each receptionist to put their name on the desk.

Now you know who you are talking to as soon as you walk through our doors...

Did you see our xmas decs?! There was lots of Pom Pom's & fairy lights!

Decorating the building is one of the exciting parts of the project & with a Christmas party on the 16th of December to host what better opportunity then to make the building festive & bright!
Huge thanks to all that joined us for our RBB xmas party it was ALOT of fun and was really nice to see a huge mix of our biggest supporters there!
One of our wishes this new year is spend more time with you...our loyal supporters, shareholders & friends. We are having a triple celebration on the 22nd of January.

Mendip Women’s lantern parade – celebrating suffrage!

Join us to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the signing of the Representation of The People Act, which allowed (some) women to vote in the UK for the first time! More info & workshop dates to follow...
This month's explore & discover feature was a little closer to home. We went into our very beautiful Building C and explored the stunning architecture and were blown away by the original features and history of the old Morland site.

Our volunteers are a huge reason this project works as well as it does, our wonderful reception volunteer Paul is running the Paris marathon to help us raise some much needed funds for the project.

The Youth club is BACK THIS WEEK!!!!!

The last session of the year for the RBB youth club was full of festive fun...lots of cookie making & eating! Plus they made snow which was amazing!  👍👍👍

We are wondering if you have any spare board games that you need to find a new home for?! We are desperately in need of some for our community sessions. Oddly we are looking for donations of Teabags so that we have an endless supply that enables us to always be offer someone a cuppa & a chat! 
There is always work to be done in community garden so if you do have some time to spare and don't mind getting your hands dirty then get in touch! 

What else do we need?! A community Gardener salary for a year £8000.
