I love the start of a brand new year and the hope and promise it brings.  My New Year’s resolution is to be more mindful, more focused and fully present to those who mean the most to me. I’m so excited about 2018 and can’t help but feel blessed to be making this journey with you, my wonderful readers.
Christmas Favorites

I so love Christmas and am always a wee bit sad when it’s over.  Before we move on, I wanted to share a few of my favorite gifts from the holiday season.
Look closely… yes, that is my infamous writing companion, Quincy White, on a pair of pajamas!  While I resisted buying a pair for myself, one of my children (who shall remain unnamed) will be staying cozy and warm at heart covered in soft cotton flannel and the handsome face of Sir Quincy. Here’s the link to create your own set of custom PJ’s featuring your furry companion:  http://patriciascouture.com/
For my other favorite child, Santa brought this adorable mouse pad featuring my junior writing companion, Sophie Belle.  I also wanted to keep this for myself, but felt her cuteness might distract me from my writing. Sigh.
Featured Reader:   Jenny Brockman (thefunkydubutante.com)

I'd like to introduce you to my fabulous designer and friend, Jenny.  Before she worked her interior design magic on my house, we first got connected through book tours, social media, and our mutual love of dogs--don't miss Gracie and Annie on that gorgeous rose colored sofa!  In her words, here is why she loves my books...

"I like Karen White books because her story telling combines some of my favorite things... Historic homes, exquisite architecture, mystery, southern charm, tracing family roots, reconciling the past, and second chances.

I LOVE Karen White books because they are filled with strong females who overcome difficult pasts and create new beginnings for themselves.  Yes, these stories include an enticing love interest that usually embodies the desirable traits of the ideal man.  However, instead of "saving the women", these men support and encourage them as they journey through saving themselves.  Karen has a beautiful way of showing that you can gracefully embrace being feminine, while maintaining the strength to persevere through life's toughest challenges.

Although each story is unique, I find myself identifying with many of her characters in different ways. Karen's books are a beautiful escape from the stresses of life, which is perfect for this hard working binge reader. For me, Karen's books are also a gentle reminder to awaken the heroine within.  Karen's creation of relatable, lead characters affirms that we each have everything we need to overcome and persevere through our own story.

Like many other readers, I look forward to meeting and relating to Karen's next heroine!"

My Favorite Things

Admittedly, winter is not my favorite season.  I detest the cold and am counting the days on my fresh, new calendar until spring. To help offset the frigid temperatures we’ve had in Georgia, you can find me in one of my favorite things--my pink Hoodie-Footie. As you can imagine, my husband, Tim, is not a fan and claims it to be “man repellent.”  I, on the other hand, find it to be quite functional in helping keep me warm, cozy and productive as I continue writing Tradd Street #6. Though not exactly cute, it truly is one of my favorite things!
I am loving reading through your favorite quotes from my books...

Book Recommendations

January is a great time for reading.  There’s no better reason for staying inside by a cozy fire and snuggling up with a good book than the frightful weather outside!  Here are a few of my favorite books that I’ve read recently and absolutely love…

The Next Tradd Street Weekend

Wow, it’s hard to believe my Karen White Tradd Street Weekend in Charleston was one year ago!  It was so much fun we are already planning the next event, to take place in the fall of 2019. I know it sounds far away, but it will be here before we know it. To sign up for my Tradd Street Weekend mailing list, and be first in the know on the next event, click here.
