We look forward to working with you in 2018 to promote integrity and reduce corruption in the water sector!
This year is already particularly promising. We will continue to support our partners advocating integrity, assessing integrity levels, managing integrity risks in organizations, and collecting data on corruption in the water sector. We'll be sharing updates and experiences from our partners worldwide in this newsletter, stay tuned!
We will also be focusing specifically on research, analysis and documentation of good practices in relation to integrity in water sector financing. To kick-off our series, we spoke to Catarina Fonseca from the think-and-do-tank IRC, to better understand the importance of integrity in water sector finance for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals on Water and Sanitation.

Integrity risk mapping for Benin water and sanitation sector
Water sector stakeholders in Benin and WIN have completed a national integrity risk mapping and baseline. The study gives example of corrupt practices in both rural and urban settings and outlines some factors that contribute to weakening integrity. The baseline will serve as a reference framework to guide water integrity promotion strategy and new interventions, as well as measure change.
