Welcome to the Annual Survey edition
of our Newsletter!

'Annual Survey edition?' we hear you say. Yes! This issue of our newsletter we'll be taking every opportunity to plug our 2018 Annual Survey (by the way, did you know it only takes 5 minutes to complete?).

We'll also be catching you up on the latest healthcare service developments in Wandsworth, and will be looking back at highlights from our recent Assembly.

And as we didn't want you to miss out, we've flagged up a number of opportunities for you to 'Have Your Say' on local services.

Auf wiedersehen, Donald!

The Healthwatch Wandsworth Executive Board recently said 'farewell' to Donald Roy after 5 years, during which time Donald shared many unique insights and extensive knowledge. We'd like to say a huge 'thank you' to him for his input and dedication over the years.

We're happy to say that it's not quite 'goodbye' yet, as Donald will now be taking up the role of Healthwatch Governor for St George's. We'll see you around Donald!

We're pumped about our Annual Survey! It's one of the main ways that we find out what you really think about health and social care services in our area.

But time is running out! Our Annual Survey closes on the 31st March, so now's the time to tell us what's on your mind when it comes to local health, social and mental health services - what works for you and what could be done better.

It'll take just over 5 minutes to complete and we'll keep your details confidential unless you decide you'd like to be entered into our
Prize Draw!!!

Assembly News

If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be? This is a thought-provoking question that many people have considered at some point. A similar conundrum was put to those that attended our Assembly back in February, when the Participation People asked them to prioritise what they thought was most important when it comes to services for children and young people. They later shared with us what young people themselves had to say on the subject!

Key Health Issues in Early Years
The London Assembly Health Committee has launched an investigation into health and well-being for children under the age of five in London and would like to reduce health inequalities through the development of a new Healthy Early Years London Programme. They would like your views on these proposals.

Wandsworth Council's Plans for Homecare Services

Are you a home care service user or do you know or care for someone who is?

Wandsworth Borough Council will be making changes to the way it buys home care services from care agencies in future and they especially want to hear from people who use the services, or from family, friends and carers who rely on them.

Wandsworth's Preventative Services Survey

The Council is reviewing those services delivered by voluntary organisations in the local community that provide support for people with health and social care needs.

To help them decide what should be provided going forward, they would like to hear from people who use the services now, or who think they may need them in the future.
