A celebration of creativity, kindess and community across
the Upper Calder Valley.
From Todmorden to Halifax, join us on the summer solstice weekend Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 June 2018 as we mark the first decade of Incredible Edible Todmorden with our wonderful and unique Incredible Festival of Ideas.
From just one idea to a global movement: Ten years ago a small group of Todmorden folk had the radical idea of cultivating disused land around Todmorden, growing vegetables and herbs that anyone could harvest on small patches of unused land. And so Incredible Edible was born, the idea took root and a global movement was born, building community through growing and sharing food.
What will be the next big idea?
Prepare to be inspired as you join us for our Festival of Ideas in our unique valley. Dare to dream about a different future for the places that we call home.
Explore radical ideas in action including urban agriculture, community asset transfer and much much more…

We want our residents to feel pride in their surroundings, whether it’s through simply keeping the borough clean and safe, joining in with -
clean up activities or feeling confident that alongside partners, Calderdale Council will not tolerate littering, flytipping, dog fouling, speeding. Our message is simple - Don’t Muck About!
During the week we will be:
• tackling speed awareness
• checking on bars and doing food hygiene inspections
• litter picking and bin emptying
• removing graffiti, jet washing and de-odourising
• issuing spot fines for littering and dog fouling
• giving advice on recycling and pest control to residents and businesses
• checking on air pollution
Follow what we’re up to and find out how you can get involved on twitter using #dontmuckabout or visit calderdale.gov.uk
