Volunteers and Local Donors Revitalized Skater's Point Skate Park!
Nearly 40 volunteers joined us at Skater's Point for the United Way Day of Caring volunteer workday last month. They painted the skate park walls a grey-beige color, which will hide the signs of wear and tear that show up at any well-used skate park, and had a great time, painting the walls of the entire 14,600 square foot skate park in just under three hours. We are so grateful to all the volunteers who donated their time and hard work!
Many thanks to Dunn Edwards, who not only helped the Department choose the best paint color for Skater's Point, but also generously donated all the paint needed to make this project happen.
