Leo Tolstoy defines the duty to bear witness as: "When the suffering of another creature causes you to feel pain, do not submit to the initial desire to flee from the suffering one, but on the contrary, come closer, as close as you can to him who suffers, and try to help him."

Every time you enter McDonald's you could be eating a bite of Amazon rainforest.

HEARTBREAKING KOALA RESCUE
A woman rescued a koala caught in the middle of a fire in Australia. The woman used her shirt to wrap the badly burned animal and offered the desperate animal water from a bottle.

We are sad to report that the rescued koala, names Lewis, unfortunately has died of his injuries sustained in the fire. Staff at the Port Macquarie koala hospital said that the burns were too severe for him to survive.
In happier news, this little koala is on the mend after surviving Australia’s massive bushfires.

Stop Bolsonaro from destroying the Amazon!
The European Commission has signed a Free Trade deal with Brazil and MERCOSUR on June 28, 2019, giving a green light to destruction and exploitation of the Amazon rainforest for the production of cheap meat and animal feed.
This agreement needs European Parliament approval to become law so now is our chance to prevent it! Please sign and share our petition: STOP Free Trade deal between the EU and Mercosur
