The past year was full of exciting developments for Emrgy. In July, Emrgy signed a partnership with GE Renewables that will bring a new line of business for GE and will increase the availability of Emrgy's solution. In addition, Emrgy engineers have finished product testing of our new unit design to ensure optimum system performance for our customers. Also, the Emrgy team spoke at many impactful industry events and attended HydroVision International to kick off the partnership with GE. These events provided platforms to share our hydropower solution with cleantech investors, influencers and potential partners.

It’s an exciting time at Emrgy! Our team is growing, and we are officially opening our Boulder office in February. We have deployments planned in three states in the American west this quarter and are busy manufacturing parts for our turbines here in the US. As distributed renewable projects continue to become the choice for generating new capacity both domestically and abroad, I am proud to be part of a team that pursues the most reliable and affordable clean electricity solution available.
Entering into 2020 our team has spent time returning to our core values, and we are committed to building a company that focuses on sustainability in both what we do and how we do it, innovation that drives our decision making, and accountability and integrity in our relationships with each other and with our customers, partners, and shareholders. There is a lot in store for Emrgy this year, and I hope you will follow along with us!

 Partnership News: Emrgy and GE Renewables
|
|
|
Emrgy signed an agreement with GE Renewable Energy to partner for the manufacturing and sales of Emrgy’s solution. Through this partnership, Emrgy’s hydropower turbines will be manufactured at a GE manufacturing facility, and GE will also begin to offer Emrgy’s product among their suite of hydropower solutions in select markets worldwide.

 Tech News: Testing at Alden Labs

Our engineers have simplified our turbine system design, and defined optimal materials and methods of fabrication, for streamlined, cost-effective manufacturing and assembly. Now that we have built and assembled this new Emrgy turbine, it's time to put it to the test.

We have completed testing the performance and hydraulic impacts of our product in partnership with Alden Research Laboratory at their facility in Holden, Massachusetts. The tests span a broad spectrum of operating conditions to ensure system performance across the unit’s entire operational envelope for a given customer's site conditions. The data gathered during these tests will allow Emrgy to create the most effective customized solution for our customers.

Colorado River Water Users Association Conference
Emrgy attended the CRWUA Annual Conference in December at Bally's Las Vegas. The conference brought together key decision-makers from the Colorado River Basin states and featured informative speakers, panel discussions, and other meetings of interest to Colorado River water users. Western Energy Conference
In August, Emrgy COO Dr. John Tuttle (pictured above to the far right) hit the Western Energy Conference stage to discuss the panel topic “Made in the West: Energy startups that could make a difference." The conference highlighted the unique opportunities and challenges for the energy industry in the western region of the continental U.S.

HydroVision International
Emrgy exhibited at HydroVision International, the largest worldwide gathering of hydro professionals, in Portland, Oregon. The conference touched on issues affecting hydropower resources and the future sustainability of hydropower, and it also gave the Emrgy sales team the opportunity to speak about the newly announced partnership with GE Renewable Energy.

Mid-Pacific Water Users' Conference
Emrgy will attend the 54th Annual Mid-Pacific Water Users' Conference on January 22-24 in Reno, Nevada. The conference will be attended by managers, directors, O&M personnel, consultants, and government Agency Representatives from districts served by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation facilities in California, Nevada, and Oregon.

Business Development Manager
We have an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager to join our core sales team. This is a key role on a small, focused team. This role will develop power projects with the owners/managers of man-made water transport canals – a multi-billion dollar opportunity in North America alone. Unlike other renewable energy technology markets, Emrgy’s customers are the managers or owners of the energy resource our technology platform is designed to exploit. We are looking for a Business Development Manager with a proven ability to close deals, thrive in our dynamic startup culture, and build their expertise in hydro project sales.

Systems/Power Engineer
Emrgy has designed and built state-of-the-art hydrokinetic power generating hardware and is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the design and implementation of the complementary power systems that will deliver electricity to the customer/utility. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the electrical design of distributed hydropower systems. You must be data driven in all aspects of design and manufacturing and strive to understand how electrical and mechanical systems work together.
