THE ANIMAL SAVE MOVEMENT IN THE MEDIA
INDIA
Bangalore Animal Save joined PETA India on January 28 for a dem oagsinta speciesism. They report: "As part of the #endspeciesism campaign during the World Week of the Abolition of Meat, a body of a charred dog was displayed on a grill to question people's notion of how we treat some animals over others. If we wouldn't eat a dog, why eat a chicken? Republic News covered our event and put out this video to help us spread our message to the public."
We believe 2020 and this coming decade is decisive in determining our prospects for planetary survival. By tackling animal agriculture we can reduce methane emissions, a potent greenhouse gas which has a short life span in the atmosphere. Its half life is 10 years compared to CO2 which is 100 years. TheClimate Save Movementis building a grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis by ending animal agriculture, reforesting the Earth and phasing out fossil fuels. Help save the planet by going vegan and promoting vegan #FoodSystemChangeNow! The climate crisis is upon us. We must rise up to mitigate and reverse it.

MEXICO Guadalajara Health Save went out to the popular Catedral on January 26 to hold their third Health Save Streets. "We were able to give plant-based food to approximately 70 people in vulnerable situations. We were able to talk with many other interested parties and we gave them a taste, we talked to them about the benefits of a plant-based diet for animals, for the planet and for their health, and they were surprised at the taste and healthiness of the recipe."
The Game Changers film congratulates their executive producer Novak Djokovic for winning his 8th Australian Open! This marks his 17th Grand Slam title. Novak also just regained his ranking as the World No. 1. “Because of my family, I’ve always had a love for food. But as an athlete, it became something more — the fuel that determines how I play, how I recover, and how alert I am on the court. I attribute a great deal of my professional success to my diet.”
Ditch Dairy SAVE Lives aims to encourage Save groups (existing and new) to hold vigils outside of dairy farms or factories incorporating outreach. Groups can also do outreach outside of establishments retailing large amounts of dairy products.

Ankara Animal Save brought music to their protest on January 23. They report: "We carried out a 'disruption event' at a supermarket in a shopping mall in Ankara. The song named 'Why?' written and composed by Doğa Giray from Istanbul Animal Save and led by Efe Soyergin's guitar, is about a lamb and a child talking to each other. We sang this song in front of the butcher, aiming to prevent shopping during our performance and to remind people to reestablish the lost connection between the 'products' they purchase and the animals."

Christchurch Animal Save report from their January 19 vigil: "Nine trucks arrived at our first vigil of the year, each truck full of beautiful cows destined to start their final day herded into the transport truck. They were driven several hours jostling against their frightened friends. At their destination, prodded and yelled at as they exit the truck."

EUROPE
CZECH REPUBLIC
Frýdek-Místek Chicken Save & Zvířata nejíme held a vigil for the chickens on January 31 at the Diema slaughter plant. They report: "Every day in the Czech Republic about half a million chickens who lived in hell end up in hell! We saw lots of dead bodies, just because of people who, for some reason, think that torturing, killing and consuming animals is all right. But thanks to all of you, we believe in change and a compassionate world!"

Kristianstad Pig Save report from their February 2 vigil for the pigs at the HK Scan slaughter plant: "There were 4 slaughter trucks - as usual on Sundays. Welcome Colchester Animal Save. Find them on Facebook and Instagram.
Their first event was a vigil to SHUT DOWN Wigboro Wick Dairy Farm on February 1. In November undercover footage by Surge showed the cruelty at this farm, and young calves were also found dead on the property. They report: "At the protest, activists held signs and banners and we had a fair bit of interest from the general public. Among us we even had a non vegan who is now considering veganism. Since the protest we have had a few local people message us horrified and thanking us for taking this action. Many people have also been re sharing the Surge footage again."
They held their first vigil on January 27 at the Tulip "Foods" Westerleigh slaughter plant. Tulip has over a dozen facilities all over England. Please watch.
COLOMBIA Cali Animal Save bore witness to the pigs and asks everyone to join: "Human and non-human animals can coexist in this world that belongs to no one, but it is for everyone. It is possible to liberate them, possible to stop using them, to stop enslaving them, to stop eating them, to stop killing them; it is possible for this world to be fair. Choose veganism, choose to be an activist, choose to wake up and take action for the rights of animals, because animals are we all."

NICARAGUA Nicaragua Animal Save held a vigil for the cows on January 26. First-time vigil attendee Ceciel shares her thoughts: "I was terribly moved to see the look on these dozens of frightened cows that were going to die, and to see the empty trucks return from where they came from, knowing that the cows had only a few minutes to live. The greatest impact of having participated in this vigil was not so much during the activity, but later, when one returns home and realizes that we are lucky to be able to continue with our life while they do not, they end up on the someone's plate.”

PERU Ica Animal Save report from their January 27 vigil at the municipal slaughter plant: "These are sentient beings frightened by what awaits them, dying of thirst and terrified by what will happen to them in a few minutes. This is your reality, our reality, the reality that we build every minute for each animal. If you want to stop these images, then stop the demand for animals, change history and build a future where animals don't end up in a slaughterhouse."
At Toronto Cow Save's vigil on January 28, this poor cow is seen with her foot stuck in a most painful way.
