Since writing this newsletter, The Corona virus has changed the world

We apologize for the delay in publishing this newsletter online which allows you to read the latest news on our actions in India before our departure in March. On the return from India, everything went fast, the alarming news of the epidemic on a global level, Sophie and Jude's flight to New York was canceled and they stayed in Paris from where they send you this message.

“The whole world is plunged into a period of pause, an invitation to slow down, to live the interiority, an extraordinary experience. The arrival of Corona virus upsets everyone and it asks us to adapt to another way of life while going through all kinds of emotions. It is a gift to continue on the path, not to run in all directions but rather to focus within. Jude’s invitation to settle, observe, feel, express, liberate, meditate and find unity in everything is the need of the hour.
It’s important to live the confinement each day not in a duress but rather as an opportunity to enjoy each moment in calm and meditation.
We decided to stay in Paris, at Surya's place and we live daily life in “the little caravan”, that's the name we gave to this little studio where we live in rue Greneta.
We felt that our presence here was important where we live in the rhythm of everyday life. Our daily lives have not changed much: The meditation, preparation and sharing of meals, resting, and an authorized evening outing continues.
We remain very much present with everything that is happening and your presence is here with us too. Today we are touched by this situation, we are in touch with those who are suffering, in pain and isolated. Thoughts and prayers for all the medical staff, nurses, doctors, all others who are all dedicated and who try to save lives every day. Our thoughts also go to all the families who are affected by illness or the loss of a loved one.
We pray for your wellbeing while the corona continues to bring its crown of light in the world, it continues to breathe everywhere, and, hope the virus won’t strangle the humanity.
Live in the joy of being, cultivate love and peace, be more aware of your being united with everything.
In presence with you,
Sophie and Jude”

Settle, lay down and rest your senses,
this is happening at the Bloom workshop

Settle, lay down and rest your senses, this is happening at the Bloom workshop
"Being there present in a moment of joy, observing the colors of the fabrics, touching them, choosing them, then drawing, cutting out after the pencil line, applying, putting all your heart into, the awareness of creating something beautiful.
The textile workshop allows you to live a meditative experience, a continuity with the daily morning and evening meditations of our center.
I notice that this manual activity brings calm, the joy of sharing, it allows everyone to refocus, to express themselves, to transform and to feel united with everything.
I am very happy to be able to guide, accompany people to bring in them confidence, peace, joy of being. This is very rewarding for me and for these people looking for inner serenity."
Sophie

This season we have had more people come to undergo Ayurvedic medical care with Doctor Vijesh. Teaching with daily meditations, hand creations in the workshop and a collective mindfulness walk in the evenings brought harmony with the treatment. All this helped people to settle down to get the best positive results during the course of their stay.

Elisabeth creates wonders while settled in Cochin

Elisabeth creates wonders while settled in Cochin

"At the beginning of January, I had the great joy of discovering the colonial city of Fort Cochin. This seaside town with its fishing nets, meeting our Indian families I knew through the newsletters, sharing with Love and kindness the daily life with Sophie and Jude at their home who accompanied me throughout my stay.
Be present,
Making space in my formatted mind,
Letting myself surprised by the daily life,
Not an easy thing for me!
Meditation sessions, daily meals with family, being with the couturier, sharing of daily life, evening strolls, Morning salutations from the schoolchildren, smiles, meetings with travelers from around the world and the support I received from Jude and Sophie taught me to move forward, to accept life as it is, to let my emotions flow through my heart and continue with Confidence!
Thank you for the Presence of all those I have been able to meet on my journey.
Love
Elisabeth.”

Clara

Clara, in the center of the above picture, is just over 40 years old and has breast cancer that has started to spread to other organs.
Her husband died a year ago from a heart attack and she is raising an 11-year-old son on her own. She started the chemotherapy sessions and seeing the cost of her treatment, the association decided to give her monthly financial aid.

The meeting with Clara overwhelmed us because despite all the side effects of her treatment, she is standing tall, smiling with full of hope for her life.

We were happy to share a moment with her and wish her well.

Sini and Biju, a call from the heart

Sini and Biju, a call from the heart

The association with some members visited Sini and Biju following an emergency call for their house in need of reconstruction.

After the last two intense monsoons in 2018 and 2019, the house was flooded and started to collapse. They were forced to go and live with another family member with their very elderly and sick mother. This situation became a source of conflict with the other family members who also live in a precarious condition under the same roof.

Sini and Biju had no children, they have no one to ask for help, so they came to our center and we met and listened to them.

We asked them to find out the cost of this house reconstruction and we are looking for financial solutions to help them to get out of this difficult time.

A little extra help for Paul and Valsa

A little extra help for Paul and Valsa

We were able to give an extra hand to Paul and Valsa's house by fitting the two doors and the window with mosquito nets, this allows them to protect themselves from mosquitoes and to create more air circulation in their tiny home. A tarp was put up in the courtyard to bring shade and freshness to the house.

The association was also able to finance the eye consultations for Paul and Valsa as well as a pair of glasses for Paul.

In short!

In short!

Association has helped:

Vidhya and her family for the renovation of the terraced roof of her house before the rainy season. This terrace caused water leaks all over the place, with high humidity and fungus inside the rooms during monsoon which started to be unbearable to live.
Seena had to undergo complementary care in Ayurvedic medical treatment for different health issues she had.

Vanaja, Harry's wife who, after falling, broke her 3 front teeth. The association took charge of making braces to make her smile again.

We had few people with diabetics. Thanks to the presence of Doctor Françoise, a pediatrician from the Dieppe hospital specialized in diabetics, who brought testers, needles, strips for the needy diabetic patients all of which she left behind for people in need. She gave her time voluntarily to help the patients to familiarize with the use of this equipment and to advise them on their diet. This was a highly successful operation for these people who were very much touched by this care and who could considerably lower their blood sugar levels.

Bloom Exhibition for Spring

Bloom Exhibition for Spring

A Bloom exhibition is planned for the beginning of June, probably from 4th to 7th June.
We are looking for a place in La Rochelle large enough to accommodate Bloom creations. If you are ready to exhibit Bloom products in your country you are also welcome to do it. We could send you the products for you by post.

Please do not hesitate to contact Isabelle, our President or to Sophie and Jude’s email yoga.association@orange.fr for all your suggestions.

Thank you for your valuable support.

Step by step, continue the path

Step by step, continue the path

The whole family of the association wishes you a happy and bright spring. The association thanks everyone who works with us for a better world.
