NEW DEADLINE to submit CSPC 2019 Panel Proposals — April 15, 2019

The call for panel proposals for the 11th Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC 2019) will remain open an extra 10 days! The submission deadline has been extended to April 15, 2019. Proposals can be in a variety of presentation formats that relate to any of the five conference themes. View the ranking criteria and submit your proposal here. CSPC 2019 will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, November 13–15, 2019, at the Westin Hotel. The conference will bring together scientists, entrepreneurs, policy-makers, politicians, journalists, students and many others from across the country to discuss, exchange ideas, and mobilize knowledge regarding the present and future of Canadian science, technology, and innovation policy. 11th Coastal Connection Vancouver

Quantum Leaps is a full day event with engaging keynote speakers, workshops in a variety of STEM fields, and networking with STEM professionals for girls in Grades 10 to 12. Quantum Leaps aims to ignite a passion for STEM in female students, and encourage them to achieve their goals and pursue STEM careers. Quantum Leaps is a non-profit organization run by volunteers, and the conference will be free to attend. The program, which was first initiated by the Society of Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST), has been successfully running since 1990 in communities across British Columbia and the Yukon.This year, our keynote speakers are SCWIST member and geneticist Dr. Jenny McQueen and software product manager Sint Moe. Register here.
