The Lakeside Guide to Ajijic, Mexico
Happening This Month
Hi, <<First Name>>,
This month there are two major events taking place.

Tomorrow (Saturday, April 6) from 3-8 p.m. is the fifth annual Feria de la Capirotada. It's an afternoon of food-filled fun where you can try out many family varieties of capirotada, which is Mexican bread pudding. It's traditionally served on Fridays during Lent. Click the button below for more information about this event on the Ajijic malecón tomorrow.
The second big thing going on this month is Easter Week, starting April 14. The week centers around the community-produced Passion Play, which this year is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

Highlights of the week include the evening of Palm Sunday when traditional dishes and drinks are served by families on the plaza as a fundraiser for the week's events.

And for six blocks, the street from the plaza all the way to Seís Esquinas is covered with alfalfa for the Palm Sunday procession, as depicted above. Click the button below for more info about Easter Week in Ajijic.
