ANNOUNCEMENTS

IAPS EC releases statement regarding international students in Denmark

The IAPS Executive Committee published a statement on IAPS website about the danish government's policy of reducing international students opportunities in danish universities, including Physics-related courses, already in effect.
Affirming IAPS's position, the EC has branded this decision as misguided and thoughtless, negatively impacting on the dynamics of universities and the scientific community as beacons of transnational cooperation.

New pentaquark found by LHCb experiment

The LHCb collaboration announced the discovery of a new pentaquark at the Rencontres de Moriond Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) Conference, where they presented their data set analysis revealing the new particle: Pc(4312)+.
The data showing the exotic pentaquark points to the possibility of this pentaquark structure as a baryon-meson bound state, though a tightly bound pentaquark state is clearly plausible.
For more information, read the LHCb summary of these exciting findings.

Hurray for new particles!
