Happy Horse Clinic
Thanks again to everyone who attended the Linda Parelli Clinic and supported our ability to bring her knowledge to Alberta. If you had a photo taken with Linda at the end of the clinic, you can find it by Clicking Here and looking under General Clinic photos. I've sent out the documents that Linda promised to everyone in attendance, if you didn't get yours, check your email trash or spam folders or send me an email. Click Here to enjoy a video recap of the moments from the clinic.

From Jackie: I wanted to thank you for bringing Linda to Alberta!  What a fabulous three days of learning!
During day two I had a BFO.  During the winter I trail ride in the Arizona desert, I was starting to have trouble on the trail ride home with my horse getting impulsive and occasionally bucking.  He was slow to leave at the start of the ride and emotional to get home.  Pulling on two reins didn't help.  I gained some strategies to improve it during the winter.  Pick up one rein to slow, if no response pick up two, if no response, bend, or back up the trail.

My BFO was the fix is really in the YoYo game.  Go certainly was not equaling whoa.  Out slow and impulsive back.  I will play with this during the summer.

The other strategy I learned was "It's not a trap". So powerful.  I also recognized I have become a nagger.  "Keep going, keep going, keep going ....". You get the picture.  My horse is a cusp LBI/RBI. I am turning into a new leader.  The beauty of a clinic is the reminders of things forgotten as well as new learning.

I wonder when I fix the Yoyo if my canter will improve?!  Another area we struggle with.
Gosh I love Parelli!!

The Savvy Club has changed and more videos are being uploaded every week
I have been enjoying going through the Levels section of the Savvy Club. They are using different videos than in the Savvy Packs and it gives the student another way to look at each subject. There is also updated information and clarification of certain subjects in these videos. All is backed up with written explanation for those who learn from reading.

The Savvy club is the best horsemanship resource in my opinion and they are making great strides in getting it even better.
Thanks To the Parelli team for your hard work
$19.95 USD a month for a bronze membership.
But most importantly!!!!!
If you want access to the educational videos in the Savvy Club, please Click Here for Amy Dorland or Click Here for Don or Halladay or mention either of our names if you phone in to join, 1-800-642-3335

Sugary Bits
Sugar is available this Summer for a 3/4 lease. $200 a month and she stays boarded at Sartison's Acres. The right student will have access to all her tack and knowledge and my assistance. I know in advance the few times I need to use her.
Take advantage and learn from a great teacher, Sugar.
Learn from a master!

Tyson's Tales
I was very pleased with Tyson's performance at the Linda Clinic and special thanks to Tamara for helping me get him saddled when I was busy. His liberty performance was fantastic and in front of the crowd we performed our first traveling Liberty Circle!!

Student Notices
Email your submissions for the newsletter before the 15th of each month to Amy  I love to hear your news and thoughts, pictures, what Parelli items you have for sale and Parelli trained horses to sell.
Horse for sale: Click Here for a video, 2015 Arabian gelding.
Contact: Dwight Sartison at dsartison@hotmail.ca

Horse for sale: Mac is a 12 year old grade quarter horse gelding. He has been started in parelli and responds well. He is green broke to ride, has a good stop. He has more whoa than go, but requires an intermediate horseman to finish his training. Built thick and would make a great trail/mountain horse but needs some patience. I had hoped to work with him this summer but time/space restricts this. Asking 800 obo. Can bring to Jarvie horse clinic in June.

It may seem as if others can add to, or take from, what you have and who you are, yet at the end of every day, what you have and who you are is entirely a function of your thoughts, beliefs, and expectations.

Everyone's a giant, everyone's powerful, everyone's trying, everyone's learning, everyone's worthy, everyone's loved!!

Your dreams are your blazing hunger..time to eat!!

You can not change the nature of your horse, you can only change yourself. When you are focused with feel and timing that has balanced amounts of leadership and partnership, your horse will join you in harmony.
