“I am so incommoded with these nasty ruffles!"
~ Fanny Burney, 18th Century English Novelist

Fanny was talking about the requisite three layers of ruffles at the end of dress sleeves, and then there were those hoops and corsets....
We hope this week's email finds you quite comfortably enjoying Summertime in 2019.
WHAT'S ON TAP
Do you knit in public?
Celebrate it this Saturday with Worldwide Knit in Public Day!
We'll be at Big Sky Coffee Roasters early morning (8:00 am)
before the shop opens; join us please! (bring a camp chair just in case we run out of chairs!)
Continue on with your Saturday routine, or head into The Bar for more knitting in public. Or head out to get folks talking about your public knitting - to the zoo, the park, the brewery, the movies . . .
Post pics of your Montana Knit in Public Day to Instagram with #yarnbarwwkip19 and we draw for a Yarn Bar $20 gift card from our followers.
MOVIE NIGHT NEXT TUESDAY!!!
After our first movie night at downtown's Art House, we heard many requests to "do it again", so here we are.....
When we did this (pre-shop opening) the goal was to gather emails and spread the word about
The Yarn Bar.
This time our goal is to simply have a "Yarn Bar at the Movies" gathering and be out in our community doing some social stitching. We hope to have another packed theater,
proving that our efforts are worthwhile.
WILL WE HAVE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR?
Yes, most likely
You can purchase here too!

WILL THERE BE RANDOM GIVEAWAYS BEFORE THE SHOW?
Yes, definitely
We all know how beneficial knitting is on many levels.
We love to pass this along to a new generation of knitters and have two kid-oriented options for June:

CURRENT PROJECT
Jill’s Boxed & Cabled from Hanna Macieiewska. Jill took us up on the challenge to start and complete a Mason Dixon Knitting March Mayhem selection by May 31! (BTW, she could have chosen a hat...)
Congratulations to Jill for winning a $50 gift card for her hard 😅 work on this beauty - - ask her about that fun cable inset! She used Kelbourne Woolen's Andorra.
Susanna was in from the ranch in Harlow to get yarn to knit baby overalls for future niece or nephew. We’ve been patiently waiting to shoot this Hatdana that Linda knit and then Susanna walked through the door.
Yarns for this one-skein project?
Mountain Colors and Farmers Daughter Pishkun.
WORKS IN PROGRESS
Sue finds that her knitting time at the UK home is about the same as it is at the US home - not much of it. The Mira top with Kestrel continues, and roses are blooming in most gardens, even ours.
