Visit the Pollen Pals Exhibit

The VBGA Education team is proud to have partnered with the Design Formation Program at Langara College to create the Pollen Pals interactive exhibit, launched at the Pollinator Days Festival and running until July 2 in the Perennial Garden. In this flower-filled setting, visitors can enjoy the hands-on exhibits, surrounded by a diversity of pollinators. July 2-15, look for the exhibit in the Visitor Centre Discovery Room, free to the public to enjoy before the Garden entrance.

Pollinator Days 2019

On June 12-14, the VBGA hosted over 800 students and teachers from all over the Lower Mainland. Students learned about pollinators and the habitats that support them through visiting various facilitated activity stations. A special thank you to our volunteers, UBC teacher candidates and community partners for their support and expertise - Alvéole, Environmental Youth Alliance, UBC Farm, SFU, and Main Street Honey Shoppe.

"I loved it! One of the best field trips I've been on. It connected really well to what we were studying and I loved the variety of the workshops." - Teacher

"Learned a lot about different bees and how pollination actually works, not just the theory." - Grade 3 Parent

Last Chance to see Pamela Fayerman's Exhibit!
The exhibit closes June 26.

June 29 – September 17 features VBGA watercolour instructor, Susan Pearson. All are invited to her opening on Saturday, June 29, 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Refreshments will be served.
