Thought for the day:
"A responsible exercise of our callings, according to our perspective, requires that we educate ourselves about the faith traditions that surround us. This is something that is easy to do, at least in a beginning way. It requires that we seek a respectful and appreciative approach to the faith of the neighbour, the one who is, in so many ways, a real stranger to us. Everything hinges on how we deal with our encounter of that stranger, knowing, as we do, that it is the face of God that meets us in the face of that stranger."  [source: 'Spiritual care in the new Pluralistic context, by Edgar P. Senne. in 'Health Care & Spirituality: Listening, Assessing, Caring, Edited by Richard B. Gilbert 2002. P. 74. @ the Multifaith Library]
