Building a learning culture

Last month we wrapped up our inaugural Climate Safe Lending Fellowship - the first in a special adaptation of the Finance Innovation Lab’s flagship Fellowship programme, designed to support a cohort of climate champions working in banks to accelerate climate action from within.

The Fellowship saw 23 banking professionals develop their knowledge, networks, confidence and skills to influence ‘critical shifts’ inside their banks – and the programme’s culture contributed in no small part to the achievements of this first cohort.  Lab Associate Natalie Tucker shares her reflections on the learning culture that enabled their success.

Meet our new team members
The team at the Lab continues to grow and in March we welcomed two new colleagues.

Tom Shields joins as Policy and Public Affairs Manager at the Lab, working in our Policy Team. Tom’s initial focus will be on the shape of upcoming post-Brexit financial services legislation and regulation. Prior to joining the Lab, Tom was at HM Treasury, where he spent most of his time working in financial services policy.

Gurjinder Khambay joined the team as Programme and Communications Officer to support the wider work of the Lab team, with a current focus on improving the Lab’s website.
