Come join us for HEARTS FOR THE ARTS, a community celebration on the rooftop terrace of Live Arts to benefit Charlottesville High School’s award-winning Theatre Department. Yummy food and drinks from Chickadee, Market Street Wine & Random Row Brewing. Student actors will perform, amazing auction features: 1 night stay at Quirk Hotel Charlottesville, gloss or cut by Shana La Vie En Rose Cville, tasting for 2 at Blenheim Vineyards, $100 gift certificate to Oakhart Social, three month membership to Common House, $50 gift certificate to Kardinal Hall… bracelet from web boutique Louise and many other items! Proceeds provide student scholarships & field trip fees and contribute towards next year’s productions. Limited tickets!

Tech Week Begins
Saturday's rehearsal was very successful, we definitely started to feel like we have a show coming together.
IMPORTANT Transportation is becoming challenging due to multiple occurrences where students within the production are not fully provided with rides.
During tech week (rehearsals from 4-8pm, we will absolutely need a carpool system.)
*Many students in the cast simply live in town. (Not far from CHS) but not close enough to walk. Would a few parents PLEASE help with this?
We are grateful for all who have already signed up for food assistance for our tech week, HOWEVER, we are in need of many more who are willing to contribute

*Tech week rehearsals may be double booked with Dessert Theatre rehearsals. Therefore we will be flexible with times. Some Tech days may entirely be focussed on Set Building and Lighting. Crew Members and Tech Students are all highly encouraged and requested to assist.

We'd love the share your skills with the kids! It can be one of the more meaningful bonding experiences for our theatre kids to build sets with volunteers!

Tech Students are reminded that they are REQUIRED to crew productions, attend build days, and assist with regular scene shop/costume shop upkeep.

Tech Tuesday is a great way to finish what we start in class.
Weekend BUILD DAYS are often necessary in addition to classwork. Please select at least one build day per production that you can attend.

Please sign up to donate or to ask for tax-deductible donations to the 2022 HEARTS FOR THE ARTS fundraising celebration. This year, the event will take place on Sunday, May 22nd at LIVE ARTS! We're so excited to toast our hard-working thespians and the theatre department staff on the lovely terrace. We hope you'll come (SAVE THE DATE COMING SOON), and we also hope you'll lend a hand.
We are looking for food donations for the cocktail hour and also seeking auction items. We've made a list of suggested donations, or sign up with an idea of your own. Thanks in advance for making this fundraiser a success. We can't do it without the entire TheatreCHS community!
