THE FLOW
JUNE 2022

The Flow is the e-newsletter of the Hydro Empowerment Network (HPNET), a south-south knowledge exchange and advocacy platform to advance local practitioners of small-scale hydropower, made possible by the WISIONS initiative.

In this issue, we feature the work of HPNET members in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, and Malawi, shedding light on multifaceted aspects of community-scale hydro, from turbine manufacturing to Indigenous-led watershed restoration. From our feature series, we bring you a new edition of Hidden No More, featuring a conversation with community hydro trailblazer, Urmila Senapati.  From our SEEED initiative, we bring you an exciting lineup of updates and opportunities from our SEEED Accelerator, featuring our new E-Learning series.  From our Earth Voices initiative, we bring you a deep-dive discussion with Hon. Adrian Banie Lasimbang, from the kick-off for our E-Learning course, “Climate Resilient Solutions to Hydro Mini-Grids”. Stay tuned for the latest edition of our video podcast series, StreamSide Chats, coming soon!
