Challenge 2022
At the Georgia Tech Hotel and Ballroom on June 28th, 2022, 144 students along with their parents, faculty, staff, and corporate partners celebrated the conclusion of the 2022 Challenge program. Selected students that participated in the program provided reflections on their five-week experience. Later in the ceremony students were presented with academic awards, grants and scholarships that recognized outstanding academic performers.

Two groups of students were presented with the inaugural OMED: Educational Services award to students that exhibited an entrepreneurial spirit. While taking classes during Challenge, these two groups found time to produce, market and sell products to their fellow Challenge students, and to faculty and staff that were part of the Challenge program as well. One of the companies sold hand crafted smoothies and the other company sold hand baked muffins.

The ceremony ended with a performance from Jelani Liddell, Assistant Direction, Outreach Initiatives, who engaged and energized the audience as he informed students and parents that OMED: Educational Services has their back!

Challenge is Georgia Tech's premiere and signature 5-week summer residential program for academic advancement, professional development, and cultural exploration. In Challenge, students are immersed in the Georgia Tech environment: they live in on-campus housing, take classes provided by Georgia Tech professors, and participate in cultural, professional, and academic workshops and activities.
