Men's Retreat
This past weekend the Men's Retreat took place at Mt Hutt Retreat. It was attended by about 60 men, and a good amount of snow! They were joined by Pr Erickson Fabien, who travelled down from the North Island to be the guest speaker.
Throughout the weekend the men were invited to surrender to God and guard/fill their minds with the power of the Holy Spirit. The retreat was filled with presentations, workshops, prayers, discussions, games, testimonials and yummy food that was lovingly prepared and provided by Rosie and Grant Burton.
One of the attendees from the Men’s Retreat wrote, “I just wanted to thank the whole team for what was done over the weekend. I understand that it takes time and energy to make it all happen. May God continually bless you all.” Likewise, many other men expressed their gratitude for the timely messages that were delivered by Pr. Erickson Fabien.
We thank all the participants and the team of volunteers and pastors who took the time and energy to make this all happen.

EndItNow Emphasis Day
27 August 2022 | Abuse of Power
This year for enditnow® Emphasis Day we have chosen to focus on "Abuse of Power," an issue that is difficult to address and infrequently spoke about in our church. How do those in power and leadership relate to church members? Many members have had painful experiences that they may have never spoken about but that nonetheless need to be addressed. This is a sensitive topic, and we ask that in all we do and say we do not make general statements about all people in power since this does not apply to all, only to some.

Ellen White and Contemporary Adventism
6 November, Online
Seventh-day Adventists have a rich heritage of visionary pioneering people. Ellen White, one of the Church's founders, had a spiritual gift—being a special messenger for God. She wrote many books, letters and spiritual reflections that have been preserved for our benefit today. How do we make the best use of these writings now? The international and scholarly speakers at this symposium will answer this question from many angles that will enrich our understanding and application. Adventist Media Offering - Great Controversy
13 August 2022
Media presents the church with significant opportunities to connect with our communities. Whether it be through broadcast media, social media, radio or print, these are all avenues by which we can share the good news of Jesus Christ with a large and unknown viewership as well as our neighbours and friends.
Many of you may remember the video series “Keepers of the Flame” that was made back in 1990. This Media Evangelism offering will help fund the production of a new series that will bring “Keepers of the Flame” up to date. It will be a docudrama that works with the key themes of the book Great Controversy and take the viewer from AD70 through to the Second Coming.
Your generous support for the offering on the 13th of August will help make this happen. It will provide you and your church with a dynamic and engaging resource for sharing Jesus.
