Dear Beloved Boston Writers of Color,

Happy September! The season of pumpkin spice, crisp apple cider, and warm cinnamon buns has arrived. We hope you all have a good start to the new month, and set goals for yourself. Thank you to all who were able to join us last month with authors Dariel Suarez, Lisa Braxton, and Ron MacLean, as they discussed their experiences in publishing their books with independent presses. If you missed it, you can view the recording here.

Although we have no September events, we’re excited to share two events happening in October, beginning with a Latinx Writers sponsored in-person event with El-Taller Bookstore on October 1st, featuring Dariel Suarez, Jennifer De Leon, and Paloma Valenzuela. We also have a BWOC Writing Session with Grub Instructor and storyteller Theresa Okokon on October 20th. Both events are below.

In the meantime, be well, be safe, keep in touch on the BWOC Facebook page, and keep writing.

Sincerely,

Serina, bwoc@grubstreet.org
