Hey <<First Name>>

I wanted to send out a quick email to remind you about some important upcoming events.

First, we have our clean up day tomorrow starting at 8AM. If you want to just meet at the church in the Gathering Place that'll be fine. We will be working on a property across the street. If you have questions about materials to bring or related questions you can contact Ken at ‭(325) 721-4467‬.

Most of the work will be demolition and clean up so no real expertise required! Just a willing heart and a strong back. Thanks in advance for any help you're able to give. We will work until around lunch time. If it takes much longer than that then we'll get lunch provided for anybody who wants to stay.

Members Meeting

THIS SUNDAY! | 5PM

The second big reminder for this weekend is the members meeting at 5PM Sunday. I know when you hear the word "member meeting" it's about as unexciting as it can get. Honestly, I don't know a better term to use for right now. The goal, however, is for this meeting to be the opposite of boring or uninteresting.

We are only going to have these "member meetings" four times a year. So it's really important for you to participate if you consider yourself part of what God is doing at Broadview. The meeting is broken up into two main sections: inform & inspire.

We will inform on matters related to church attendance, engagement, financials and so on. We will also update the church on our search for a youth pastor and our sending of the Clarke family to Krakow. After that we will spend some time praying and worshipping. We will close with a time of inspirational exhortation and presentation of new members.

I know some of you are so used to doing nothing on Sunday nights. Or maybe it's the night you have reserved for your family or relaxing before the start of a new week. I get it. I totally understand. But I think these gatherings are going to be very important for our church so please make an effort to be there if you can. Thanks in advance for your willingness to try.

It's short and sweet from me this week. Don't forget we have new small groups kicking off as well as some exciting news coming up after Spring Break. You can read about them in the announcements section of the email.

If there's anyway I can pray for you please let me know.

I hope to see some of yall tomorrow!

Blessings,

Pastor Wes

21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

March 27 - April 16

After spring break we are going to enter into a special season of prayer and fasting in order to prepare our hearts and congregation for Easter Sunday. We will engage in a 21 day fast and host weekly prayer gatherings each Monday like we did last spring.

The 21 Day fast and weekly prayer gatherings will conclude with a "Good Friday" worship service on April 15th and a "Go Tell" outreach event on Saturday. Having prayed and sought after the Lord for the 20 days prior, we will conclude the fast with an evangelistic effort to share the Gospel with our neighbors and invitations to our Sunday worship gathering April 17th.

There are several ways you can participate. We will be presenting commitment cards and resources in the weeks leading up to the fast. There are four different tracks to choose from (or you can create your own.) I hope you'll begin praying now how God would have you to participate.

Hands & Feet Ministry

April 7-9

Last fall we started an experiment called the "Hands & Feet Ministry." This was a ministry to help people in single-dwelling homes who had things that needed to be done but could not do them themselves or afford to have them done.

This year, we're doing the project again and expanding its reach. Submissions will not only be open to members of Broadview but also people outside of our church with whom you have a personal relationship. If a ministry like this would bless them please get a request submitted through the church office.

To submit a project, volunteer to work or donate go here.

Any help you're able to give is appreciated! Through your generosity we will be able to bless our city in a significant way.

If you have any question please contact Robert Williamson at ‭(325) 268-7553‬

Foster 325

Broadview has joined hands with several other churches in our city to do a better job of ministering to foster families and foster children in the Big Country. If you'd be interested in serving as a "wrap around" team or a "foster family" please reply back to this email so we can help you take your next steps.

You can learn more about Foster 325 here.

What is Foster Care?
Definitionally speaking:
"Foster care is a temporary arrangement in which adults provide for the care of a child or children whose birthparent is unable to care for them."

Practically speaking:
Foster care is messy. It's loving with abandon and putting aside your comfort and ease to help vulnerable children. It is often giving children your heart when they come into your home and being heartbroken when they leave. It's parenting difficult children from hard places who are hurt and scared and don't trust adults.

Why partner with Foster325?
Foster care is directly aligned with God's heart for people. It is a place where you get a front-row seat to watch God heal and redeem. It is a part of the abundant life Jesus died to give us. When we love the things God loves and get involved in His purposes THAT is when we experience a full and satisfying life. You will never be more content and full of joy than when you are on mission with God. Foster care is a mission field and the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.
UPCOMING EVENTS

Men's Bowling Night

There will be prizes and bragging rights to the winner.

Ladies Lunch

March 26 | 12:00-2:00

Join with some other ladies in our church for a spring lunch on March 26 from 12-2PM. This lunch has been hosted by our women's ministry before so many of you will know what to expect. If you're new, however, this is a wonderful way to meet some new people and make some new friends.

There will be food, games, fellowship and lots of laughs. There is also usually someone who gives a testimony or devotional. The Christian life was meant to be lived "in community." Join us on March 26 for a time of mutual encouragement and relational discipleship.

You'll be glad you came.
